It's blackmail because it was obtained illegally. It wouldn't be permissible in court no matter the circumstance.

The reason it's blackmail is because the intention is to leak it and destroy Jade's career, something she's carefully worked on for decades now.

He is not police, so there is not illegal obtaining. It is in public domain and is up to judge who would probably allow it. At least would get MC to testify under oath. Lets not get into details. He is doing her a favor.

If I understand her correctly, she has also made a lot of money for them together. I don't know how though, considering being a teacher usually doesn't earn that much.

Actually...Professors in colleges make WAY more money than your normal teachers in typical schools.

I think it's also implied that B&R is an elitist college too, which means that instructors/teachers get paid quite a lot. Not "rich people" amount but definitely a very comfortable sum.

The estimated total pay for a Professor Gender Studies is $193,649 per year, with an average salary of $115,163 per year.

That is quite a lot imo.

Update: It seems that my rewards from previous plays are still there even though I deleted the RenPy folder in the Appdata/Roaming folders. Is there something else I need to remove?
