Honestly, this late in the game with only 5 episodes remaining max? It does appear that way but who knows. There's quite a few side girls already that can be pushed to love interest levels.

Esp given when he last talked about episode count the final season would be different and more an epilogue - we might only have 2 episodes left that have meaningful choices where as the remaining 3 play more like a kinetic novel based on all previous choices...
