I'm reasoning from the perspective of a player who bought the game in steam in 2030-2035 after it came out.
If you look at it that way, and not in the format of annual updates, when we have the opportunity to replay the game 10 times, the game does not withstand any criticism.
And that's not an answer to the claim. The player is not a prophet and he could not have known about Jade. It's his fault for not knowing.

This is why I am becoming increasingly against releasing unfinished works in chapters and seasons. How many aren’t completed or abandoned? How many stories fall flat (because of high expectations)? Sigh… I’m just as frustrated as everyone else that we have to wait (for who knows how long) for a little closure on at least some of this story. I’m still invested and that’s good for DPC. But, I also am increasingly cautious of starting any other incomplete episodic game. (that’s bad for them, I guess? Maybe me, as I might be missing the start of something great?) I’m losing all my patience as I get older…

Currently (except for extra drama) there aren't any consequences yet. However there are two big differences between Bella and Jade:
1. Bella's husband is missing and possibly dead. Jade's husband is still very much in the picture and they also still live together (at the start of course).
2. Bella wasn't a teacher yet until quite a bit into season 2, "just" a librarian. Jade has been MC's teacher since the beginning.

We didn't know Nora was a teacher. If she didn't break it of, us as players should have a chance at that moment.
The other two: Not "nothing but", but yes, I would expect at least some negative consequences.

I once played a famous game. There was a choice that led to unexpected consequences and often you wanted to do the best, but your actions would led to terrible consequences. How could I know that the desire to save children from witches by releasing the spirit of the forest would lead to the nearest village being exterminated by this spirit, and Baron Philip Stenger would hang himself from grief, because the witches would turn his wife Anna into a monster. Or that the decision to save the sorcerers from Novigrad would lead to another witch hunt, only this time against other minorities.
Was I angry, upset about this? No. Such is life. An action that seems right and innocent to you can lead to sad consequences. DPC games are like that. A seemingly ordinary action can backfire on you. And this distinguishes BaDIK and AL from thousands of other wanking games and one of the reasons why the game stands out from the rest.
ElectronicRoberts recently posted a 200 page fan guide to BaDIK that he made himself. Name me one game that inspires people to do this. Look at it this way.

There are clues in the game, especially if you study the world carefully. You can buy a book from merchants, where it says that the mother of the famous three witches was a monster and practically drowned Velen in blood. So the outcome doesn't seem so ambiguous anymore.
There's no hint in this game that Jade could be Sage's mother.
I'm immensely grateful to ElectronicRoberts for his hard work, but I don't like that this game now has to be guided through like some Elden Ring.

I'm pretty sure MC's endgame on this run is to move out of state, change his name, and join Witness Protection. It's gonna be a bloodbath.

Actions can have unknown consequences. Having sex with a teacher and married woman is likely to have them, even if in this case the specific consequence is unexpected. It's a risky decision in general.

If this was just a porn game that could be glossed over. But it was pretty clear to me from fairly early that DPC wants to tell an adult drama story. Since then I've approached every decision I've made from the perspective of "my main LI(s) might likely find out about this," at least on runs where I care about the main relationship.

As someone very critical of choices with zero hints attached to them, like the Rusty one kicking you out of Bianca's route, where playing blind there were zero clues, or correlations between the two(the hindsight hypocrisy is weak sauce for me, I want to make educated guesses, not play the lottery with choices ) I have no problem with the Jade/Sage one.

I might not been able to predict how it will bite me in the ass when I was playing blind, but I knew some consequence will be coming my way and that is good enough for me.

Sage upper limit was 4, I heard throuple is 3, Jill has to be 1. I think I got 7 just to do Bianca scenes and I think I skipped 5 more in the hot tub choice?

But now I'm inclined to think that the person who enters the dinner is Quinn at all, given that she needs proof that Buddy and the others were involved in the crimes. And Jill is Lana's sister. She probably decided to ask Bella before she went to Jill.
Besides, Quinn often wears hoodies.

The paradigm shift has come for everyone except Quinn. She's still the same old Quinn. She hasn't learned anything from Riona's situation. She won't ask for help, that's it.

I fear she's just painted a bigger target on Riona's back by calling the police - who clearly won't be able to arrest Buddy, Vinny and Mick for some reason.

There was no direct evidence that Jade was Sage's mother. But I'll tell you, this whole affair with her smelled bad and I felt a catch. Horny teacher harasses you right in class and she's also an element of hell week. When I showed this video to Derek back in 2020 on my first and only save at the time, I suspected that I was making a mistake.
Even the relationship with Bella, despite the fact that I like her, makes me suspicious. That secret room and the tears in her eyes when MC kissed her in the library.

Regarding Sage's last name: speaking as someone who spent 8 years in college (4 years more due to the pandemic), I never knew the last name of 90% of my classmates. I had no idea whether or not there were teachers who were married and taught in the same course; or even if they were married to other employees who worked at the same college. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of college colleagues whose last name I knew, and even then only when I had to hand in a written assignment. After that, I completely forgot their last name. Do you know why? It never made the slightest difference to my education to know that. With the exception of a few teachers (my course had at least 25 teachers), I never knew their last names or their personal lives. So, from my experience, it's not at all impossible for MC to spend so much time without connecting A with B, especially when one of the parties uses a different last name. Unlikely, perhaps; impossible, no.

P.S: I want more of Tiffani, Tara and Bianca!!!!
