It's been a while since I posted here, but I've just done a whole playthrough 1-11 and wondered how far away from the mainstream these opinions are:
- Season 3 is more enjoyable than Seasons 1 & 2.
- Party Planning minigame is great
- I liked the Interlude, not just as a thing in its own right but as a mechanism for catching a new character up. This and Season 3 means Zoey will be playthrough #1 when ep 12 comes out
- While DPC is decent at handling big story beats, his descriptions of interpersonal interactions aren't all that. The worst offender for the latter is Maya & Josy as a couple - they are so unbelievable (even amongst everything else) I wish for a mod to prevent the latter getting into B&R so I never have to see them interact.
- I like the 2D art of the women better than most of the DAZ models and sometimes wish the whole game was rendered like that a la Our Red String
- The animations and interactivity of most lewd scenes detract from their eroticism rather than enhancing it and I'd prefer it if they just played out.

Enjoyable might not be the right word as there were definitely moments/mechanics in S1-S2 that I wouldn't want to have been without, but just pure power creep, S3 animations/mechanics are more impressive. The boxing/party planning minigames, for example, make the shuffle & tile games look and feel ancient.
Interlude definitely sold Zoey and was most likely needed if she's to be a main girl soon (like you said, catching her up). Lily is currently one of my main pursuits; she didn't get her own episode, but the interactions over several episodes has sold me on her. Also interested to see what chem girl's deal is.
I do agree to an extent. Maya and Josy have their own scenes here and there, but most of the time it seems like they're just catering to MC's needs. Them as a couple on their own seems like more conflict than it's worth/same conflict that will probably implode the throuple (e.g.

Mostly why I wanted to reply, it would have been hilarious to have the shroom scenes be in some trippy 2D. Maybe when story is complete, DPC will go back and add them, and you can toggle between them like in Halo Anniversary or something lol.
Not sure what you mean on last one. Lewd scenes are still hot and most have some relationship progression/meaning behind them, but they do seem to follow the same formula: Undressing linear animations that then lead to the 1 of 1/2 choice lists where the 1st 1-2 choices were already played in the linear portion, doggy/missionary/standing vaginal/anal and mostly call it a day. I mean it's sex, you can only go so far. If MC pulled out page 253 of the Kama Sutra, it would probably feel out of place for a college sim. That being said, even Jill's basically one butt tease away from being Becky lol, so it is getting kind of repetitive. Maybe down the road, DPC will use the setting more and let you choose locations/items to use (e.g. like finding the ruler yourself in the classroom scene with Maya or sneaking away to the hot tub at the cabin).

Oh you can go so much further. DPC's level of eroticism is generally basic af. Most dialogue is just characters making noises, girls singing praises to MC's dick and both finally warning each other about cumming any moment in funny ways. And it's not like DPC is incapable of decent erotica, like Riona's dirty talking during one scene was pretty hot, but he still has a lot to learn from the experts if he wants to elevate the lewd scenes from basic gratuitous porn to something more profound and fulfilling.

Mel is always the one with a conscience in a lot of their scenes together, Sarah is a natural at deception, has to be more to these 2 still to come
