Trying to install the mac version and regardless of which download site I use, when the download is complete and i try to unzip it keeps give me the "unable to expand" error.
Also, can someone clarify why there is a "patch" file and non-patch file? Is the patch version used to upgrade from a pre-installed version?

I can't speak to the Mac part, but yes the patch is to update from a pre-installed version. 0.11.0 to 0.11.1, for example.
