My review of the Episode 11
A similar vibe than we had during season 2, with the episode 6 & 7. A lot of stuff going on and days continue to be spend during the whole episode.
Story :
Didn't expect we gonna have an intro with Lana again, but anyway. Like DPC explain it during his last Q&A, drug is a central part of the story for this episode. And we can put a face now of the mysterious Jonathan than Jill communicate with, which is turn out to be a completely different person than I thought.
And of course, we follow the plot twist of the previous episode's ending. Quinn being incredibly challenged emotionally, for what happened to Riona, everything leads to think she's gonna be in full revenge mod.
And now it's official, all the 5 main LI becames pretty much besties to each other during the episode.
Fantasy speaking, most of us are thrilled I guess but it seems maybe a little too much convenient than realistic the way it's been executed. Bella especially, sometimes it's strange to see her becoming this "friendly" and daring in this group.
But I enjoy how much Jill & Sage became great friends, the dynamic is different since they're almost total opposite in term of personalities, if we compare with the friendship Jill share with our favorite librarian.
And it's strange to see how the situation with Maya (whatever you succeed or failed) who seems to be almost a life or death situation ended up much less concerning as the episode continues.
As for the DIK's situation, the one we got the most suspicion Nick, is the one who get the blame during this. I didn't expect at all than the reason behind the posters with Beth and the other girls was the payback of them being humiliated in the past, which is well thought and made sense.
Sometime, people we tend to forget because we label them at a backgroud characters end up being the mastermind of a lot of plot. We know now than the tri-betas will have their moment.
Another theme for the episode, Winter if now here with Christmas season, with the Chrismas songs during the freeroam of decorating both DIK's and HOT's house, definitally help to the immersion.
As for the theme of the party, an exciting one with the dress code. We get to know some new girls, the pink haired one is very intriguing. Some new girls are intriguing (the pink haired one).
The activities are nice too.
Branches :
- Others : Since the episode 10, we continue to get more branch in this one, you cannot date/roll Nicole & Lily at the same time at some point. We can likely see that happening for Quinn and Nora soon after it.
- Maya & Josy : It seems like we are on the verge of a break up between those 2, and depends of who you were the closest (and said the magic word), we probably say goodbye to a triangle relationship, that's my take.
- Jill / Isabella : Well there it is, Bianca can be officially a temptation to break the relationship the one you're being with.
- Sage : Go through a lot with the divorce of her parents, and based of how you play, you're gonna feel it very differently.
Zoey is insering themselves to be a new LI, whatever the branch you play. It's gonna be interesting to see how that's gonna be executed, especially if you choose to break up with someone.
Play :
- If you plan to unlock all the scene by playing fair and square, good luck because it's more & more tougher. Especially for Sage & Others branch. Just like I did, I think some of us had to go back to episode 4 for not showing a certain video to our maggot brother.
Enjoy it a lot, and obviously the ending give his purpose to get hyped (and frustrated for waiting we don't know how many month) for the Episode 12.
