Man it's really hard to feel any kind of hype for him getting things done "quicker" when we all know he'll find some arbitrary reason to delay it as much as possible.

I wouldn't call any of it "arbitrary", even the stuff I didn't personally like.

Everything they've done has been to add to the game in a way they value, they haven't exactly done the way too common route of suddenly halfway through going "actually I need to remaster every previous chapter, sorry" that is really quite common.

a) From a dev point it's dumb, because the party clearly took a lot of dev time, and now a lot of it goes unseen during the majority of runs.
b) From a fun point it's dumb, because in my opinion, the parties are some of the best parts of this game. Great music, great atmosphere, lots of characters to talk to, lots of fun interactions. I don't want to miss part of that, but if I'm doing, let's say, a Sage run, I have to, because I'm not missing the ily scene, am I? (on the same note, making that and the Cammy threesome mutually exclusive is a fucking crime)
c) From an ingame point it's dumb. MC cares a lot about the frat, he cares a lot about the parties, and this is the first one he planned on his own. And now he has to miss half of it because his girlfriend(s) and friends have to do an alternative event THE SAME FUCKING EVENING?!? Great friends those are! They should get their asses over to the party. Bella not being there - fine, 100% understandable, didn't expect her to. But everyone else? Sage should have been there on any path, so should Josy and Maya. And so should Jill, atleast if you are on her path. "Too shy" is not an excuse, since she blows MC in a bloody fitting room. And if Sally and even KRJ can manage being there in underwear, so can Jill.
There is just no fucking reason for these events to happen at the same time. Bella's thing should have been on a different day, and the main girls sans Bella should have been at the party, which would have made it even better. Imagine the cucumber event with, let's say, Josy. That would have super hot, and a perfect tease for an even hotter scene after the party. But instead we get to abandon her or Maya alone on a couch while cuddling the other. Faaaaantastic.
There are a bunch of stupid choices between two scenes in Ep11 (Sarah or Mel, Cammy + Sage or ily), but having to choose between the party and the hangout at Bella's easily takes the cake.

C honestly I get Bella, Sage, & Jill not wanting to be there for various reasons. Josy come on and Maya well she is sort of a feminist but those two really have no excuses.
