I don't know enough about Ren'Py functionality to have the answer, just a guess that the game will throw up errors for that too.
Yeah i'm not particularly knowledgeable with Renpy either. I'll find it one day, i don't even want to know for any particular reason, just curious lmao
I have to admit you and Just Jericho have me considering grabbing URM and giving it a run but after watching one of the folks on this thread struggle all day trying to map variable names to desired functionality it causes me hesitation. I'm a professional coder so I'm sure I can get it to work but I already spend all day chasing badly or generically named variables and debugging 2000 line sql stored procedures so I hesitate to take on more work. I guess that's why I like Scrappy mod because it's right in the UI, point and click with no fuss.
Completely fair. I install URM on every single Renpy game I play lmao. I personally don't change a lot of variables, I think the only ones I do are to unlock scenes I don't care for (like madame rose or Jade/Cathy etc), but my runs are specifically designed for the outcome so i have no desire to.
One benefit of URM, if there's a variation scene you can view it, so for example post-halloween party, if you're on Sage's path, you have the option to view the extra render of Josy being sad if you're not on her path (and heartless), then view the conversation about breaking up with the Throuple.
URM is a stupidly powerful bit of kit, even if you were to keep using Scrappy's mod, i'd install URM. FWIW, BaDik's variable names are actually some of the clearer ones i've seen. I played on VN the other day where the variables were called like a3618b2 and i'm just sat there like what the fuck does that mean
