That's a pretty speculative and thus useless argument. Pay attention to the actual game.I understand that. But I'm looking at the perspectives for the entire life of the MC, not for the period that the game covers.
What DPC has in store is anyone's guess.I think Jade has a better chance of getting her ending than Nora. But I could be wrong, I've never played these routes.
Ok, yeah. You have not been on this board, reddit, social media, etc.True. And some people like Zoey and her story. And I'm sure Zoey is more popular than most of the girls in the "other" branch.
There are huge swaths of content, sexual or otherwise, for characters on Others. Zoey got a flashback.
But hey, being biased and wrong is a thing. Count: Nicole, Lilly, Nora, Jade, Cathy, Camila, Melanie = all more popular than Zoey. On content alone.
Wow. She's got a ILY moment.Zoey confessed her love to the MC and expressed her desire to start a full-fledged relationship. Did Quinn, Lily, Riona, and others do this? No. Will they do this in the future? Possibly, but for now we can only guess.
So?
Sage, Maya and Josy can get that too. And those are within relationships where they're involved, live, and go to school together. And as a result of the MC.
Zoey flounders for a year and a few months to figure out what she wants, has to do it at a party after several, has a panic attack, has to get more emotional support from a phone call from her interlude friend, and has no concern for the MC's current relationships. She's a wrecking ball for all the romance a player chooses. Give her a DIK disposition and she doesn't give a flip.
But if you're an "Nice Other's" guy who's getting bored? Hey, why not?
Irrelevant, bloated, side story where nothing is revealed or accomplished. A bunch of characters and stories we don't care about that have 0 bearing on anything. May as well have given it to Quinn, Riona, etc., as that's what fans have been actually asking for from Others.Interlude took 3 months to develop. Now that we are approaching a 2 year development cycle, this doesn't seem like a big deal.
DPC does whatever he likes, apparently, if he could do a useless Interlude. Here I agree, between Zoey and the MC branches "other" everything should have happened faster. I think that DPC did not want to increase the already huge branching and that's why he wrote it like that.
?Zoey made a mistake when she left and cut off the connection. You think that if a person made a mistake, he does not deserve forgiveness. I disagree.
Zoey is indeed a likable character. We're unlikely to convince each other. You like Nora, but you don't like Zoey. I like Zoey, but I don't like Nora. That's fine. But I'm not saying, "Take Nora out of the game, she's a waste of time."
She's just a horrible inclusion and bad for BAD, for the narrative, and for destroying all progress for romance content, especially for MGs and even for Others. And made things even more bloated. 3 moths on an Interlude that was useless and did nothing? Ugh.
She could have been a fantastic plot twist in the romance part of the story; instead, she just destroyed it. Again, HOW she was presented, and WHAT she does in the narrative is bad. She could be whatever and I'm sure DPC could construct a likable character. But she has no business in this.
Think of it this way: if next chapter, some random girl with no bearing on anything suddenly declares her love for the MC (e.g. Sally), and the MC can just throw everything away (including Zoey) and choose Sally, all because you were nice to her.
("Oh but you don't have to choose" <-- the defense of all AVNs players. Ugh.)
It shouldn't be there in the first place. It destroys the romance narrative and puts it on the footing of a fickle manwhore who's bored, or even a dedicated MG who's now a horrible person...and all because he's nice?
Character assassination was Josy's "wah" bag. And now it's the MC.
(The closest I can think of a function is a corollary to Crossroads while being on Others, but Zoey The Destroyer comes in and ruins the Crossroads choice, too. Zoey simply wasn't included or used properly as the Ultimate Old Flame trope who's come to get her man back.)
