Whenever you see it like that, the patch is telling you it's the "update only" so you don't have to download the entire thing, only what is new. Here it is saying it takes you from Ep.11 v0.11.0 or Ep10 v 0.10 to the latest update, Ep11 v0.11.1 - so if you don't already have Ep10 or Ep11, you need to grab the main download S3 Interlude + Episode 11. If you don't delete the download after playing, then theoretically, next time you'd be able to download a patch, so get a few gb to go to Ep12 instead of needing to download 10+gb.

Yes, you can disable minigames at the beginnig of the game, but:

a) just at the beginning: if you started with minigames on and you repented now, the only option to disable them without tampering with the code is trhowing away your saves and replay from scratch 11 episodes with endless unskippable free roams... No, thanks... I'd rather delete my diploma from the school database and start again my studies from kindergarten...

b) by disabling minigames you lock yourself out of some content.

So it's much better to just cheat at them.
It's as easy as modifying a single return statement in each minigame script.

Because, just as you said, this is all lighting and whatever. Lots of aspects can affect the skin tone (even in real life) and DPC has improved his rendering technique a lot over the years. The same scene from earlier episodes would look quite different today, which he even showcased in a Q&A:

Plus, the game's general tone is getting darker like Harry Potter movies. During the story's climax we'll barely be able to see anything through he darkness
