All your build up and romantic paths are toast, because DPC thought having an Interlude with an "ex-girlfriend" and building her up with the DIK score would be a fun little exercise for him to waste time on. While entire Others get completely shafted and neglected (Rio, Quinn, Nora, Sandy, Mona, etc.), and even more new Others are introduced.

Tbf, as one of the people who actually enjoyed the Interlude, though I felt it could've just been a flashback, I find Zoey's got a lot more skin in the game than some of the Others girls. Besides her history with Tremolo and her story of "the dream wasn't as good as she thought, so she returned", I'm interested in seeing how she and Tremolo develop their relationship, outside of the MGs paths.

Could DPC have written her return a bit better? Yes, but it is the man's story at the end of the day.

Dog barking is annoying, trying to lick you and don't understand the distance, or they are dangerous - they want to eat you if you are a stranger and end up on their territory. I'm on Nora's side here.

We can say that Jill have horses, although these are Amelia's stables.

Yeah, I don't know if I was oblivious about it, or if it'd just been too long since I played the earlier episodes, but I don't even remember any foreshadowing or mentioning of Zoey. When she showed up in the interlude and beyond, I felt no interest in learning her story, let alone pursuing her as a romantic interest by that point--even in my fuckboy/DIK playthroughs.

I still don't know if/how she'll be worth her presence in the story, but I agree that she needed to join in sooner to really stir things up.

MC tells Bella the full story of how he met Zoey, got into a nebulous relationship with her, and how she left him way backing Episode 3. Then every once in a while he'll mention his ex or allude to being in a relationship before.
