Another great example of just how clueless Sage is to the world around her, is her not knowing that her brother Tybalt is making up his entire relationship with Jill
Sage has no other source of information about Jill and Tybalt.
She had no close contact with Jill and Bella until Ep. 9, so she has no other info sources that could give her credible information.
All Sage had was Tybalt's blah blah about how close he and Jill were.
Overall, she's not very experienced in relationships in people's psychology because of the situation in her family, being teached to hide emotions and feelings and not even talk about. So it's not surprising that smart and social-looking girl is so rookie in reading people.

To be fair, sage could only know what has been presented to her and what is seen in public.. The first time we see Jill she's in the college corridor with Tybalt. Jill also lives in the Preps house. So when Tybalt gives his story of Jill to Sage, on the out side sage will see Jill roaming with Tybalt, see that Jill lives in the house etc etc. She has reasons to just accept it as Tybalt says.

It's not uncommon for gay men to pretend to be straight for years without their girlfriend/wife realizing it. Seems like it's only recently that he's started to cheat on Sage, given how certain she is about it and the fact that she hires the MC, whom she doesn't even know, to spy on him. No chance she would let that go on for years.

I think you are slightly missing the point. If the scholarship/restaurant was going on for years, there would be rumors about it. Sage would've heard of it and likely gone all in trying to get to bottom of it, cause that's how she is. We are told multiple times that Sage, at this point, is very busy with both running the HOTs (parties, part time work, etc.) and trying to graduate. She's very busy and trusts Quinn with a lot of important things, which lets Quinn get away with both the drug dealing and the restaurant. An example would be Maya's scavenger-hunt, it's a lot more sexual in comparison to the others. Even when Maya wants to switch mothers, Sage doesn't look into because she's busy and trusts Quinn.

I'm not saying any of these theorys makes sense, DPC probably didn't think far enough ahead with this particular plotline, or changed his mind.
I understand the point completely. My counter argument is that even if the restaurant has been there only one year there should be enough rumours for Sage to get suspicious. It is game canon that there are not. It may be a straight up plot-hole or it may have a plausible explanation. There is no reason that explanation wouldn't apply for a lot further than one year.

The fact that Sage got elected after only a year in the sisterhood would imply that she put a lot of effort into campaigning. Yes she might have won because Stephen rigged it, but she would still believe she earned it so there would have to have been effort. This would make her just as busy as she is for running the sorority now. If Sage can't see what is happening now because she is too busy to notice it, she can have been too busy to notice it from day one.

There are so many things Sage has not caught on about that the argument that she would have simply does not hold water.

Actually, I am going to give that plausible explanation for how the prostitution has stayed a secret a try. The HOTs have a reputation for being sluts. They both deserve it and own it. It is not much of a leap to call someone a whore for being a slut. So whenever someone says something like that about them everyone just chalks it up to disapproval of their behaviour. No-one believes they really are prostitutes apart from the actual customers.

Obviously the girls themselves know to shut up about the money part. Publicly they simply own that they are sluts. But why do the customers shut up? Well mostly because no one brags about paying for sex. No doubt they brag about sex, but they shut up about paying for it. This only makes the HOTs are sluts attitude stronger. If a customer does let it slip while drunk for example, they are cut off. If they get loud in retaliation they'll be just another prude disapproving of sluts. If they focus on a specific girl everyone will assume that they had a crush and couldn't handle rejection.

So one way or another any rumours that rise up just get buried in the HOT's slutty reputation. Now let's consider Sage herself. It is very heavily implied that she has a lot of sexual experience. She must have been called a slut both by jealous girls and guys she dumped or rejected. I do not think it's unreasonable to assume that by the time she got into college dismissing such insults was second nature to her. So all the potential rumours about HOTs being whores would just get lumped in the pile of insults from jealous and prudish people.

This is especially believable when compared to the fact that until the Halloween party Sage has dismissed Jill as just another spoiled rich brat. She definitely has a tendency to dismiss things.

Sage is not dumb, but some things do need to really be shoved into her face before she realises the truth of them. Chad is gay and Jill is a nice person. Some of her sisters really are prostitutes and not just sexually open girls getting insults from jealous prudes.

Not really, if she had any reason to just accept his words, she would not have her Tyballs account calling attention to his fails, so she knows first hand how fraudulent he is.

I don’t remember reading anyone’s review on the Jade path. How many have followed Jade through chapter 11? Thoughts? Good, bad, indifferent?
Jade is a great character. In real life I wouldn't be able to be her friend, but I'd leap at the chance to have an affair with her if I were single. I wouldn't crawl over broken glass like I would for Bella, but I would leap.

In her story three taboos coexist. Fucking a teacher, married woman and a friend's mom. Gotta love it.

The downside is that the relationship is so toxic. She is not emotionally attached to MC. She is using him to relieve her frustration and to get revenge on Stephen. There is no happy end to this relationship. In that Jade is unique. For every other girl I can imagine a happy ending, but not Jade. That is to say among the girls that I think will get their own ending. There are quite a few girls I don't see getting their own ending at all good or bad.

The way the relationship with Jade comes back to bite you on Sage's path is a delightful detail especially how it might build to something if Stephen knows about it. In so many games it would just be a game over, but in BADIK it's actually explored.

The one thing that annoys me is that even the handjob is on the forbidden list. I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case. Not so much for the scene itself but because you get the moment of Jade opening up about Stephen cheating on her. I hoped you could play until that moment and then just not make a move on Jade and MC could have that knowledge on Sage's path. But no, even that much locks you out of Sage's ILY variant.

I am also quite eager to see how the Jade relationship and especially the evidence of it might affect Jill's and Bella's paths. With J&M Jade is blocked so there is nothing beyond the handjob, but with Bella and Jill you can have her.

Also while it's pretty unlikely I love the idea of Jade getting pregnant. It would mean that Stephen is the problem there. Unfortunately it's implied that Jade's infertility is confirmed by doctors, but one can hope that this is a misunderstanding or that Stephen bribed them. It would be such a delicious twist. And if the conception happened before the ep 8 choice it could be everywhere except on the J&M path.

Plus, Sage don't like preps and anyone close to them at all. She can't stand elitists. She thought that Jill the same like all of them: rich spoiled kids, who care only about status and money.

I have a viable Jade save somewhere… I don’t know that I labeled it though.
I'm going to make 4 saves for Jade when I've got the time:
- With Cathy, with Sage
- With Cathy, without Sage
- Without Cathy, with Sage
- Without Cathy, Without Sage

I'm wondering how many routes I should pre-emptively make where I accept Cathy's BJ, but where I reject her in episode 10. I'll think I'll wait with that until episode 12 is released.

Yeah but still, that would only explain why she wouldn't approach Jill herself.

Jill however says that she tried to approach Sage, but that Sage didn't even give her a chance. Sage knows that Tybalt almost always lies or make things bigger than they are. She could've at least given Jill a chance to tell her side of the story.

I think Quinn saw Maya's tasks as a win-win for herself - either Maya balks, and Quinn can keep her out of the HOTs, or Maya demonstrates a willingness to use her body to get what she wants, and Quinn can use that and the fact she'd have control of an incriminating video to push Maya toward joining the menu...
Informing Maya about the free tuition is one of the many plot points left to rot.

In the end, the only interpretation is: Quinn is evil and does evil things. Otherwise, it makes no sense.

Informing a stranger is a huge risk that will probably sooner or later bring the whole restaurant issue to light. Basically, it doesn't make sense: Quinn already has more girls than she can handle, so she doesn't need Maya, and given how she treated her, how could she ever involve her? Besides, this restaurant obviously doesn't make that much money, since drugs are still the priority.

But Maya had to be forced to go beyond certain limits.

You forgot the fifth crucial save for her, showing the DIK's the sex tape. I think that could be great drama on a Sage and Cathy run :cool:

True, but so far imo that isn't a Jade run going forward, since Jade seems to end in episode 11 if you leak the video, that's why I didn't name it ;)

Jade is a crazy bitch no matter what, but she has a "sweet enough" side, one might even call it romantic, at least for her (take that with a big fat grain of salt). Plus she likes to brag to Cathy about that good MC dick, sending her pics :BootyTime:

Hopes are high for a Jade/Cathy threesome :devilish:

And of course, can't forget about this:

How the finale to Season 3 will end:
Patrick: Join me Derek, it’s better on the corrupt side!
Derek: No, I’ll never join you!
Patrick: Your feelings are clear to me… you have… a sister!
Derek: You dumbass! Of course Maya…
Patrick: No, Lynn is your sister.
Derek: What?! That’s not true! Nooo!
Patrick: Join me and, along with your Uncle James, together we will rule B&R!
Derek: Who the fu…
Patrick: Just stay away from your Uncle Neil and that son of his. He’s meddled for the last time in our plans.
Derek: What the hell is happening right now?!
Patrick: It’s too bad that Buddy had to go and kill your “friend’s” grandfather, Rox.
Derek: (Derek’s face is ashen as he is clearly in shock) Shit…
To be concluded in Season 4!

Tbf, she doesn't spend much time with her brother and she doesn't know Jill at all. It's not difficult to lie and make stuff about someone if no relevant parties are there to deny it.
Not listening to the adopted brother about his personal ramblings (that she despises) is several times more believable than her not hearing a wit about free tuition in the sorority she's the President of.

That would be trigger/priority investigation #1, and the whole thing would blow up immediately.

And it's certainly not the least bit of lazy writing. We don't do that around here$$$$$.

Who knows? Maybe this'll all end at first year/graduation where Sage goes on a Scooby-Doo adventure, where her continued martial arts training gets her to dragon punch her dad. And pound the MC on the B&R roof with a guitar.
