Jade being pregnant is an exciting idea. Unfortunately she is infertile. That's why they adopted Sage and Tybalt. Or at the very least Jade believes she is infertile. I wouldn't put it past Stephen to bribe doctors to fake test results or otherwise convince Jade the problem is with her. It would mean that Stephen knew the problem was with him before they consulted doctors though. If he for example had had a vasectomy. But why lie about it? Because it would be grounds for a divorce and while he wants one now at the time he must have wanted to be married to Jade or he wouldn't have married her in the first place. And if his reason for marrying her was money it only makes the whole thing more plausible.

With this deception in mind the chain becomes very clear. First Jade obviously won't be on birthcontrol as she believes nature forced one on her. Next she discovers that she is pregnant. Then she digs up the "evidence" of her infertility. At that point the question is how well did Stephen cover his tracks. Will he be caught or is it just a "misdiagnosis"? "It's the doctors fault" and nothing to do with him. But then he might get greedy and try to use Jade's pregnancy as proof of her cheating (this being the variant where MC doesn't show the video to anyone) and that's where he makes a mistake. Because how can he be so sure the child isn't his? His vasectomy (or impotence) will be revealed and as it will be proven he knew about it before getting married, Jade gets everything.

... I think I just described Jade's good ending. Sage's new step-dad is such a DIK.

Why would he do something so selfish and cruel back before he became completely jaded (ba dum tss) and disillusioned with life?

If he really was such a piece of shit back then, that just means that whole therapy session was just bullshit right? He's lying to his therapist? But the flashback is supposed to frame the whole thing as Stephen being honest with himself, and show who he was and what he's become.

There's periodic free roams, but no, it's a visual novel.

It doesn't count. There are some free roam sections but quite frankly that shouldn't be enough to include the tag. The story does branch massively, but this is mainly done through dialogue choices. It's a VN with A LOT of possible ways for the story to go. Quite a few actual sandbox games give players less options.

There's some other tags that are technically true but really minimal. There is a portion of the story that is seen from another character's point of view, which justifies the female protagonist and multiple protagonist tags, but this is like 5 % of the story and after playing it once you can skip it. Interracial and lesbian content is there but the vast majority is straight white people fucking. There's hardly anything that counts as voyeurism. Foot content is also very minor.

Apparently there's enough sycophants on here to argue against the concept of "getting help", saying it'll somehow decrease quality. When we all know that's not true, and will only speed dev time up.

1. Treating BAD like a serious project -- by hiring help -- will speed dev times up.
