Well it may be on the harsh side, but if you apply the following criteria, it is justified:
3/5 = engaged
4/5 = married
5/5 = pregnant
Pregnancy naturally outweighs relationship status.
On the other hand the criteria may be too strict as hardly anything reaches even 2/5. It's not exactly informative.

When the criteria are strict enough, yes. But criteria that are too strict become pointless as all instances are packed in one end of the spectrum. It tells you nothing. Same is true for criteria that are too lax.
But speaking of Sage's criteria I often wonder if she has ever actually experienced a 5/5. Or if anyone but MC has managed a 4/5.
