The storyline that I consider closed is the one about drugs. Vinnie will definitely return, there has to be some kind of “revenge” for Riona, but I don't see why his return should be linked to Pink Rose. He'll look for Quinn, or at most the Hots.
I assumed they did it because it's off-season, and after analyzing the IP addresses from which the votes were sent, I concluded they were their bots! The MILF trend is growing right now, and people like Spock only boost the MILF ratings. You need to download both Season 1&2 AND Season 3. They are two separate files. You need to play Seasons 1&2 first, which will then prompt you to make a transfer save file (don't worry, it's easy, just keep playing until it comes up), and then start Season 3 by transfering your save (again, it's easy, just click Continue on the season 3 main menu).
