Once again, I decided to make my own surprise, because I honestly can’t help but adore this thread, its people, and the sheer chaos it produces. Also, despite being a shit artist, I can't help but have fun doing these.

I decided to start a fresh playthrough of BaD. In my first run, I was all over the place, but this time I really want to focus on Josy.

I’m going down the CHICK path since I know she prefers that, and I’m aiming to get all her early RP (like the sleepover scene in Ep 2).

Here is my question for those who are up to date with the latest episodes:
Is it possible to have a dedicated SOLO route with Josy, or is she permanently a "package deal" with Maya?

To be honest, I find Maya’s character a bit annoying and I’m not really into the whole threesome dynamic with her. I know that rejecting the threesome in Ep 4 usually locks you out of the relationship, but if I agree to it initially, is there a turning point later in the story (Season 2 or 3) where I can break things off with Maya but stay with Josy?

Basically, I want to know if I can eventually steer this into a monogamous relationship with Josy, or if I'm stuck with the duo forever.

There is no monogamous relationship with Josy so far but you can focus on Josy while involved in the throuple. You can even go as far as saying the big three words to her in Episode 11 if you played your cards right

I will try to explain my point of view using an example.
Situation #1. We have Bella. She's a strict librarian who spends most of her free time drinking wine with her few friends and longing for her missing husband. How much time passes between the moment the MC meets her and their kiss in the library? Is it 3 days? 4 days? How much time passes between meeting her and having sex for the first time? I haven't played her route, but I read that she gets her first sexual scene in episode 6. It's been about two weeks since we met.
Situation #2. We have Zoey, a fun-loving girl with a rebellious spirit, who already fucked the MC when he was a school outcast. She returns and sees that the MC is now successful in college, popular with girls, and single (I'm only talking about the "other" MC here). However, nothing happens between them for two months. Do you see the logic here? I don't.
I partially understand why Zoey is acting like this. I'm more annoyed by the inertia of the MC. He can be friendly with her, he can spend time with her, read Lynette's diary and sometimes correspond, but nothing more. I remind you that we're talking about the guy who fucked Camilla and Mona in the bathroom when they asked him for his underpants. We're talking about the guy who jumped into Melanie and Sarah's bathtub and let them suck his dick while Heather was watching. We're talking about a guy who, in the second season, had no problem fucking 4 or 5 girls in one party. And this guy never tries to kiss Zoey in two months, never tries to make her understand that he sees her as a potential girlfriend instead of a returning friend. Doesn't that seem strange to you?

Rather than speculating about those uncertain future plots, I'd prefer to discuss these existing characters. Merry Christmas to you, Moni.
I'm glad you used Bella as an example for comparison. If it were someone else, I might not really know about the plot. So... about Situation #1, Bella is indeed as you described, possibly appearing as a cold and aloof librarian to other people. However, there is a context for this rapid development of their feelings towards each other. Due to the gap in age and status, and Bella's personality of course, MC found it difficult to talk to Bella directly. Thanks to Tommy for getting him drunk that day, allowing Bella to see MC's emotional side and providing the opportunity for that impulsive kiss on the couch (If this end well in the future, MC must properly raise a glass to Tommy). This kiss was crucial in their relationship, like a breakthrough from 0 to 1, forcing Bella to take a big step forward, planting a seed in her heart that had been without intimacy for three years. After this, the intimacy between this couple gradually deepens as the story progresses (Ep4-jerk off, Ep6-Blowjob, Ep7-All kinds of stuff, Ep8-Real sex), which seems very reasonable to me.
Then, about Situation #2, among all the characters around MC in the game currently, only Zoey and Neil know what kind of kid he was in the past. If there is anyone whom MC treats with the most serious and earnest feelings, it would definitely be these two. From MC's perspective, meeting Zoey was the best thing that happened to him besides Neil. And when Zoey talked about her dream and Miami, MC was seriously considering going to college there with her in the future. After that, no matter how much impact her grandmother's passing had on her, objectively speaking, it was ZOEY who decided to leave MC behind to pursue her dream, it was ZOEY who took others' advice to gradually ghost him off on social media. If it weren't for the other option offering 3 Zoey points, I would choose "I'm mad" every time (Isn't that funny? The two options that offer the most Zoey Points are the ones I don't quite like). This is the current situation between the two of them, where the once closest people have reconnected after deciding to move on. MC himself said that he had changed a lot over the past year, and that studying and socializing took up most of his time, so he couldn't always meet up with Zoey. It may take a lot more time for the relationship to return to what it was before, given their history, there are too many issues to resolve before sex. In the latter part of your comment regarding MC's lack of action, I'd like to point out that, plot-wise, MC doesn't truly understand Zoey's feelings until their private conversation at the lingerie party. And he didn't consider her as a potential girlfriend; it was the players ourselves who hold such thoughts.
Regarding the issue of MC's behavioral inconsistency, I TOTALLY agree with you, but there's really nothing we can do about it. This game relies on the judgment of points and status to trigger scenes, so there will be situations where players make the MC flirt and fuck around, but act like a completely different person when facing specific plots. So what we can do is probably to make your choices on the selected route more aligned with the actual situation. Take me for example. One of my saves for Zoey is being on the Chick-Others path where I didn't touch any girls at college, with Zoey being the only one in my sexual history. DevDPC better prepares some special dialogues for Zoey-Only player like me.
