There are no variables attached to that choice, beyond gaining or losing RP with Maya.
I find it amusing that people always cite this variable from the respective EP to explain something. Variables can also be added later. But I don't want to elaborate on this topic any further.

That would not retroactively apply to saves made past that point, except probably in the default state of True or False. But honestly I don't want to talk more about it either.

Like Milton’s boyfriend—oops, I mean, as Spock said, there’s no variable to track the player’s choice.

It doesn’t seem very smart to add a variable to that part of the game’s script and then make all players redo their saves later just so the variable can have any influence over the player’s choice.

That's fucking rude

Milton would be referred to as the boyfriend, not me :sneaky:

The ILY doesn't necessarily have to lead to a breakup of the three-way relationship. It depends on how you played it. Yes, my MC told Josy in Episode 11 that he loves her. But already in Episode 8, the MC indicated to Maya by adding a heart emoji to a message that he also loves her, and Maya responded in kind.

The decisive factor for a breakup will be the protagonist's response to Maya in episode 10, when she asks him if their relationships are similar to Melanie's with her friends or if theirs are different.
And your evidence for this is?

That's all for now. You can't save a variable that doesn't exist. But you can create a variable that works retroactively. This bypasses the current save state.

Someone in the thread pointed this out to me—I can't remember their name right now—who figured out how to make some variables go unused. DPC won't create variables and leave them unused. There was a variable for Josy and another for Quinn, as far as I remember.

Now, there's the option to search for strings and store their position as variables. So, if a decision in the game isn't stored as a variable but as a string, DPC can search for that string and use the newly created variable.

Why not?

It's way easier to create a variable to track something and then end up not using it after all than it is to not create a variable and then use it later.

If a decision is logged somewhere - as different text in your phone, or something - then it's possible to check that, but a lot of the time, the decision is going to be lost as soon as the rollback point passes it.

Perhaps you're right.

Personally, however, I consider that inefficient and flawed. I wouldn't be satisfied with my work if it were that way.

You wanted proof, and I delivered. The heart is considered the ultimate symbol of love.
And you obviously failed to understand what I was asking you to prove. So let's be clear. What is your proof that that moment is in anyway a decisive factor in the throuple staying intact? I was not asking you to prove that the moment is there. I want proof that it is significant.
