no the 5 months was needed for the conclussion of hellweek and steam. i dont think the wait for new chapter will be that long anymore.So the wait for season 2 now begins, let's just hope it's not as long as the 5 months we waited for episode 4 anyone who has waited for a game 5 plus months will know how tiring that gets.

Hopefully you're correct, although according to the latest update (which N7 posted a page ago) DPC is going to be spending the next 2 weeks working on the Steam release. He's working on Ep5 stuff concurrently, but who knows if it'll eat into actual dev time.

he should only work on steam if his game itself dont suffer. or it will be visible in the update. also hellweek part 2 suffered because of this since it still not concluded we dont even know if we got in or not this part should have been included in the part of hellweek.

True but now he has no day job anymore right ? so it could be we will get hopefully more and faster update. and hopefully not the 5 months wait. but game of this scope is not just the renders but also the coding part. many things can go wrong what can make a delay happen.
the only thing we can hope is that he will not turn like other developers and start delaying stuff because a cat ate his canary..

He specifically said that it wouldn't mean faster episodes. He has his rendering computer 24/7 and that didn't change. There's no way to speed up that.

Yeah, he is self-employed now making his game. The issue last time was when he handed in his notice his boss made him work extra hours than what he normally did. So be interesting to see how the timeframe goes from here.

Honestly, i prefer to wait 4-5 months with the result of high quality episodes than wait 1 month with bad writing and other mistakes.
I really love this game, but it feels kind of dumb locking content behind the chick route. I know the pseudo-morality bar is a big part of the game's premise, but it essentially feels like you're getting punished for choosing to do porn stuff in the porn game.

Yeah, he has several, but the rendering PCs can't do anything else, it basically eats up all their processing power. Plus he isn't an octopus so he can only physically work on one himself. Short of buying even more rendering PCs (and depending on his current setup that may not actually help) there isn't much that can be done to speed things up.

I mean even having two computers won't speed anything up exactly since it's down the PC's rendering out scenes and animations. He can only work on stuff as fast as the computers allow him. I know sweet F all about rendering and posing but I imagine you would be correct in him being able to do other stuff in the meantime.
If DPC had a few people working with him to share the load of rendering. I'm sure he has received a e-mails or whatever of people wanting/offering to help out (Serious offers that is)
I'd prefer a decent 3-4 month wait, But hey I cannot complain for waiting. I also agree if waiting longer means you get more content and higher quality content with less mistakes then by all means.
