It's a renpy VN adult game that caters to like 0.0001 % of the gaming market , i don't think he has any reason to give off an elitist vibe based on those credentials nor do i think he is doing that at least imo. The problem stems from how he has arranged his patreon tiers and rewards. That 1 $ tier should be removed, it's kinda pointless. It should start with 5 bucks and give access to all development updates in that tier plus maybe one pole , then 15 $ for render rewards and finally a 30 - 40 $ tier which gives access to everything. Keep it simple and with the whole discord thing yeah he done fucked up with that though.

As for his steam releases , that's a different beast. Steam won't do jack shit to promote adult games , never have never will but gabe is greedy enough to allow them on the platform which is quite welcomed imo. So if he is being a dick no pun intended to possible customers it will backfire cause his only promotion is word of mouth from people on his patreon and ofc from the good folks here and his twitter page. And some devs and teams are already outplaying him , many people just don't know them cause they haven't released on steam. DPC got a big boost to his patreon mainly cause of his steam release of AL

I always wonder how many people are pledged to him that are higher than $40, I am also curious to why he is releasing the game on steam? I find it weird personally, plus like you said steam wont promote at all, so why even bother porting it to steam.
