I don't mean to absolve the MC of his lapse in memory but one must also take into account the fact at no point did Maya or Josy ask to be in a exclusive relationship yet were happy to maintain the status quo. I feel most unattached men in MC's place would have done the same thing- continued being with them until their tenuous relationships inevitably fall apart and then maybe pursue an exclusive relationship.I mostly agree about Josy and Maya relationship, a honest talk between them could have fixed things a lot sooner. But i add that the protagonist is also a liar since he "forgot" to mention who he was seeing to both of them. It was a lying love triangle.
