Calling it, Bella's husband is in the military and has been stationed overseas for 3 years. Explains why the MC thought they saw a guy in military clothes in her study because he saw him in one of the pictures frames and hallucinated he was there.What is puzzling me is that she states she want him to come back home. That indicates he is alive. Unless she cheated he left, he cheated and got kicked out but she has forgiven him.
Whatever, I just wait to find out....

Exactly. I just wish you could get these moments without sacrificing the Maya and Bella scenes, but since Quinn doesn't have any RP and if there's not a hidden variable attached to them, they may not be as important as we think.

Well, a situation like that would be 2 and a half years, so it's close.
Maybe he's MIA and she still hopes he's alive and will come home? The scene in the library where she starts to cry may indicate some kind of grief she's been suppressing.
It's an interesting subplot, though. Either her husband has been absent for 3 years, or they haven't had sex for 3 years and he's currently absent, and if he's been absent for 3 years, what could possibly be the reason? Bella could very well be the most tragic character the way things look right now.

I'm going with him being MIA. She still believes he's alive and it's why she wants him to "come home".
