I would put money on end of April update being way too optimistic. Last time round, the expectation was "end of Nov" and it came out in Feb, so..uh

I still think DPC shot himself in the foot by going with the 3-doors branch too early and now he is stuck with making mutually exclusive content for different paths. e.g. I love Bella to death and she's my main but I would have been perfectly happy if, instead of spending gawd knows how long coming up with that "watering the plants" mini game and used his time on something else. The game is getting broader at the expense length (no that was not a dick pun - I meant timeline progression wise, MC's actually only been at B&R 2 weeks after 4 chapters.)

Fingers crossed that DPC doesn't get into a GRR Martin situation where (a) complexity slows content to a crawl (book path), or (b) throws up his hands and just bum rushes a mess out at the end (HBO show path).

Given what they said in the recent status update, I'm thinking about mid to late May at this stage. The render count is 1572 and the last episode had just over 2800 and Ep 5 is apparently bigger than they planned so I don't see them anywhere near being done in the next few weeks.

I agree this is likely the result of all the various branches that this game has now grown, because it's not just the 3-door branches from the end of Ep 3, but we also have the 2 routes for Maya and Josy, the 2 routes for Jill and Bella, the 2 routes for Sage, the route with none of the main girls, the DIK route, the CHICK route, & the NEUTRAL route, plus all the crossover with these different routes. It's a heck of a lot at this stage and I imagine it involves a lot of "if" functions in the code, maybe some of the renders will be the same, but the game code will definitely get more complex. Hopefully it won't spiral out of control when there are dozens of iterations this game can have with its paths and branches.

There's the whole porn game logic of all women are bi but then this is one of the more realistic porn games so that would take away from the story, also given the nature of the game there needs to be a limit on pairings and deviations. Doesn't mean you can't have a funny scene where Maya snaps at Josy for checking Jill out.

I have a feeling there will be different outcomes depending on how many of the Hell Week tasks the MC did and how many Derek did. In fact, here's a question for everyone: on your main playthrough how many of the Hell Week tasks did you do and how many did Derek do? This was mine:

So, the MC and Derek can complete 10 of the 12 tasks and, my MC "won" 4 of them (unsure how the car wash will be marked since they made $0 and Derek went off with the old teacher) and Derek "won" 4 (again, because of the uncertainty of the car wash). Neither of them completed all of the tasks and it's a tie for who did the most, so it will be interesting for me to see how this works out in Ep 5 for my MC.

But to speculate: A while back there was a theory that the MC is not going to be a DIK because of the eggs thing and because it's possible to let Derek do most of them. It's also assumed the MC is being ignored on purpose by Tommy because of whatever drama is going on behind the scenes involving the drugs, whoring, Chad, etc.

As to that theory, I suppose it's possible that the MC might not become a DIK if Derek does more tasks, or if certain tasks are given more weight, but then I wonder if all the variables here with the different tasks will actually matter or if they'll let in you regardless of how well you did.

I believe it could happen that the MC wont be a DIK but as you said, taking out Chad of the alphas presidency will be a factor for tommy on letting him in.

On my route i let Derek do almost all of the task except for a few so we ware going to have to wait and see if that plays a part.

It's probably not permanent. Just another obstacle the MC has to deal with (i.e. find out the behind the scenes stuff so he can finally become the ultimate DIK). Or perhaps I'm just looking for a reason to stay with Sage or Bella .

Yeah, this why I wonder if the Hell Week stuff actually mattered if it's pre-determined that the MC will become a DIK because the game demands it on the basis of the title. Maybe if you don't do enough tasks Tommy will reject you but Rusty and the others will overrule him and let the MC in.
