Derek's one is probably the most useless for the development of history.so you haven't tried them all yet?
I would suggest you to play all of those on different saves.
I personally (& many others i guess as well) prefered:
Derek - For Neutral Path
Sage - For DIK Path
Bella - For CHICK Path
My favorite among them is the SAGE Path. It just feels more complete and engaging, plus that Quinn part seals the deal for me.
Also some Riona content is there as well, if you're into her
moreover there is no watering million plants on this path
& always nice to a fellow indian bro here
Sage'one is the one with the most interesting scenes, and if the other HOTs (Riona, Quinn, Mel ..) will have an important role in the future it could be to be kept in mind.
Bella's one must be chosen because yes, because otherwise tear your eyes and play near the train tracks ...
I was joking (maybe). Bella's one must be chosen if you are interested in Bella and Jill. from a Roleplay point of view it is the one that makes the most sense, she is the only one you can confide in openly (Derek is a bro, but he is still Maya's brother, MC practically does not tell Sage anything)

But don't we have to go all the paths in order to unlock those stupid "scenes" or "renders?" And what's the deal with those.? Are those actual scenes I'm missing or are they just there for someone's boner joy?

I can't answer you, with Rionna for example it's a chat, it could be important, but also having "interactions" could have effects on the story (I don't think), maybe those with Quinn ...

Hmmm... You know at some point the story starts to run dry for me. All this back and forth, switching routes to unlock new scenes/renders, I'm becoming numb to it. I think I will give it a rest until the next update. Meanwhile, Perverteer has some really great plans for a new series. I need to sleep. Have fun.

personally I don't have the fixation to unlock every scene, if I want to "see" I'm not looking for a game.
of course with 4 months time it turns out that at Quinn's restaurant I do a ride (part of the game that I completely skipped)

This week I've mainly been writing dialogue and posing static renders and animations. I'm moving on to new parts of the episode after finishing a lengthy section.
I've been preparing some Rooster content as well, so I can post some Twitter posts soon.
1139 static renders and 45 animations are completed.
In the upcoming weeks, my PCs will mainly be rendering animations so progress will seem slower even if it's rendering at full speed as always.

Sex scenes aside (it's a porn game after all
), the three paths provide perspective on characters.Sage's path gives an insight into The HOTs's daily living. Their rules, the way Sage delegates to Quinn, their dynamics. We get more backstory for Sage and Riona. Quinn's troubled crush for the MC becomes more evident. We see how much Ashley is uncomfortable with HOTs' standards unlike Lily. We can observe the way Sarah and Melanie treat their respective daughters...
Bella's path is totally focused on her. If you don't choose her path, she has no screen time in the episode, except the library scene with Josy and Jill.
Derek's path is maybe the least interesting, but it gives you the opportunity to bond more with Derek, Rusty and even Tommy. We also discover why the MC was naked after the crazy night in the strip club
.So it's better to play the three paths to get the bigger picture.

about 50% of renders and 33% of animations compared to 5. If he spends the week rendering animation that should take a nice bump. Might be able to hope for the optimistic September release at this rate.

Well, considering that DPC said they didn't work much on ep 6 for the first couple of weeks after ep 5 released, these are impressive numbers. To have done almost 50% of ep 5's render count in less than a month is promising, and the animation count doesn't have to match or increase what was in ep 5 as it depends on what the next ep will involve so the amount of time to make animations could be less if they will be less.
They still have free-roam events, reward renders, Swyper, coding, etc, but if there are similar numbers this time next month, we could hope for a September release and maybe even ep 7 before the end of the year.
