idk if it was a complete lie. seems like she was getting desperate so she could make up the money she was short, that she owed her people. (last thing u wanna do if fuck over a dealer).

especially considering dipping into shooting up. smoking is one thing but thats another, along with the string of fucking up and over those closest to her. maybe this will be what causes her to finally open up to mc, because every time she starts to, she realizes it and clamps up. turns back into the "im a tough, sarcastic bad bitch with no feelings".

None of which means that Quinn isn't do for a hard reality check, and Riona would certainly be a good candidate for that. But I don't see Riona using the coke; she already has a drug of choice and it's quite different. I'm also very skeptical Riona would rifle through Quinn's room looking for a hit; I'm pretty sure Quinn's story to Tommy in Episode 5 was a complete lie in an effort to justify her ditching the DIKs (with Quinn's usual success rate).

I think it's more likely Riona will be targeted by whoever mugged Quinn, and the danger of the 8ball will be that Quinn might turn to it when she's finally alone in her darkest hour. Hopefully the Riona will survive her ordeal, and ideally the MC can finally get through to Quinn before she does even more damage to herself or others.

You might be on to something since getting mugged clearly wasn't enough of wake up call for Quinn. That 8ball of coke is an obvious Chekhov's gun.

Most dangeroulsy, she is talking like family to the dealer and his possy, talk about abuse prone.

I would take that for granted
the reason why Quinn has that coke is explained from beginning to end, followed step by step, it must surely have some development.

for now, that is, not having really many elements, I still see as more likely that it is used, or ends up, to frame someone, after having put it at the right time in the room, in the pockets or in the desk of someone

Could have something to do with Lilly. She's already positioning herself as a threat to Quinns games.

if Lily actually becomes a threat, right now she's an annoyance to Quinn at best.

In the scenario where word starts to spread that BR has a lot of drugs in it, it's enough to wait for the first inspections to get any student, but also a professor, into trouble.
