At the beginning of their relationship Maya wasn't romantically interested in the mc, he was more like an emotional support in the college where Maya pretty much suffered all alone.

If the MC stays with Josy, Josy calls Maya herself and tells her everything. If then the MC still writes by cell phone, that it was right so, everything is fine.

Back to the point, I agree that in ep2 When MC said that he was falling for her, she should have said that She can't reciprocate the same feelings back to him. I understand her being depressed or confused during those parts, but she should have made it clear that She didn't love him at the time.
