YES! Light of My Life was very well done and the characters grow on you. I found it very erotic and very well written. I think City of Broken Dreamers is technically very strong, but the story has not grabbed me like BaD or even some others. I suspect it's because the MC already has a lot of history with most of the characters, so we're not coming to the relationships with a fresh perspective.

Don't you think the DPC himself doesn't like Jill? He pays less attention to her and seems to deliberately talk about her last.

No, I think Jill is in some ways the primary LI. When BaD launches for the first time, remember, Jill is the one who introduces us to the game and gives us the usual "if you're in a bad place in your life" warning. I think DPC sees her as the most special.

That wouldnt surprise me, but it might not be that simple, in general. I think DPC when BADIK started he was still on that Megan is the main LI from AL mindset but I think by episode 2, everyone's game, despite I think Maya & Josy are supposed to end up together, Sage move on from her dependency of being a typical cheerleader failing for idiotic brainless chads for the "looks", Bella opening up her ice shell and (probably) leave a loveless marriage, which leaves us Jill as some sort of same connection as Lady and the Tramp, same as Neil and the Lynette.

But yeah, I think there's no "main" or "canon" LI. Unless you count Jade.

Jill was the last character added to the game. She didn't even appear in the first trailer (and no, it wasn't a secret appearance). I think Jill won over the patreon and that's when she made it to the front page.
Looking at the game I could say that Quinn is the main character (she is not even considered LI and yet she has the biggest development in the game and shares all the characteristics of a LI) or M&J, who go through the whole game from scene one.
And yet I think it's choral enough to not have one character over another at the LI level.

i believe you're right, it feels as if she's the ultimate prize for someone who follows the CHICK path. In the sense that you won't get to be as cool as a DIK MC, but you get Jill.

Correct me if im wrong but I feel as if Jill and Isabella have the least amount of screen time after episode 7 as well as having the smallest impact on the story overall.

If you ignore Jill she's just some rich chick falling on a sword you hardly have to interact with. Compare that to the more elaborate plots with Sage, Josy, and Maya you're forced into that are 100% unavoidable.

In one of the Q&As DPC is asked "who was the first character who started the Being a DIK story". He says he "wants to answer this question, but can’t at this time," and he'd be "willing to answer it when the game is complete." My feeling for a while has been that it's Quinn.

It's a possibility, and DPC says it's the character he most enjoys writing.
His evolution ate the evolution of the other characters, so he could easily be the first one he imagined.
We'll see in about 5 years what he'll say about that... I only ask that he leaves me a good ending with M&J and another one with Sage.

Im going to put on my dalli hat and say there must be a reason why she's not considered one when she's so prevalent in the story.

I've got $5 on Quinn suffering an AL fate

Josy? Josy so far feels extremely shoehorned into everything, if you ask me. The only "plot" she really had was being the (non) GF back home of the MC while he was experiencing college. After that, she's pretty much tied to Maya in every single regard, except all the drama and character development is about Maya whiel Josy is like :l almost in every scene. I like Josy... but she's the character I'm the least interested in all of BADIK (or close to that) because she only works as a plot device to Maya drama and barely... barely anything else Her connection with Tommy? I dont think even Tommy *really* cares. I really wished DPC didnt shoehorned her into Maya as a couple and gave her a real purpose... and being a crying shoulder to Jill is not it, btw.

Well... At the end of the day this is the point of a forum... You came with Something, shazba replied with something else. Is your point of view against the game and shazba showed his point of view trying to defend the game. Or Dalli with his crazy (and sometimes absurd) theories... Me (and other users) tried to demonstrate why and how he is not right... Or maybe he is and the rest of us are wrong... How this topic reaches almost 150k of posts in 2 years? DPC offered us a game which is very professional built and contains a lot of stories, theories, scenes etc so we, the players and users of this forum, can discuss a lot of things about it

I think it all depends on how you look at it bro.

IMO the appeal of Josy is exactly what you've touched on. Excluding what's going on with Maya, she's mentally/physically/emotionally stable, financially competent, chose a good major, is generally at a good spot in her life, and has no ongoing issues.

I said it a few pages back, out of all of the LIs she is the only LI that makes sense as the endgame for MC at this point in the story. That's her appeal as far as im concerned and I support it. The drama-less LI.
