I think the theory started because nobody greets or even acknowledges Bella's partner on that part but her. Her boss said nothing to him and both the boss and the guy outside the library kept looking in her direction like...weird. May be a stretch, but Pinkcake seem to like plot twists so isn't out of the possibilities.

That theory started because even dumb people are playing BaDIK. That's a younger Bella AND that library is NOT B&R's library.
Bella hasn't got library bosses at B&R.

i watched the scene again... whoa iam on the shizo-train now too. I watched it over and over again and now iam sure... she is really hallucinating.

her boss sends her home after she heard her talking, and i think its more out of concern than anything else cause Bella could be talking to herself. And there is no reaction to the husband... ok i dont greet people i dont like too, but in this scene there has to be some reaction i think.

And in my job i have to deal with a lot of people with mental issues... some are talking to themself too. And people tend to watch them in a strange way if they do... just like the guy in the scene sitting on the bench.

and than there is the thing that the MC said in ep3 after making out with Bella in the library. "if i had know, i called for help"

yeah fuck me... it fits. Bella got some mental issues. We dont know how she lost her husband, did he just left or is there more to it... but to be left can cause some issues like that easily.

Yeah i will stick to that, iam on the shizo-train for bella now too... and in the locked room she hides maybe a kind of "refugium"

Why so many people are speculating that every episode from now on will take 1 year?.
Ep 7 needed 5 months and ep 8 needed 7 months. How you pass from 7 to 12?.
You are asuming the worst case scenario. Ep 9 has to be released on Halloween. Every episode has to have an interlude prior to it release, both combined need 12 months.
However it could be not. IF he is tired the interlude could be a one time thing, one month work worth. Ep 9 could come on June or July and after that we could get 6 months updates.

there are two aspects that make me be pessimistic

the interlude: I think it will be released before chapter 9, so between interlude and chapter 9, I do not think we will see more next year (even without interlude I saw it difficult)

the new structure of the saves, if the chosen LI becomes so important, this will necessarily increase the length of the chapters even more, if you are faithful to Sage in the chapter there must be "a lot" of Sage, and this applies to all and this can only lengthen the time of realization

No joke I sometimes think DPC is just a fucking asshole with some of the stuff I read in this thread about his attitude The Others path should have been the Quinn path and everyone knows it. The game is called being a DIK but 4/5 of the paths are chick or neutral. It's been debatable for a while whether Sage is even a DIK girl but I haven't gone back to confirm whether you can get all her current content as a chick. No Sally, no Heather, the Riona stalker thing was a red herring (at least for now) and very little content with her. This fucking Swede is cucking us hard

Someone came up with the idea that in this scene James only exists in Bella's head.

I find that it fits well with the scene, and the way of acting of his boss.

We'll find out about it next episode, I don't really see Jill confronting Bella about her relationship with MC and not mentioning James.
Unless DPC decides to still make their dialogue regarding Bella's past all cryptic and bullshit to keep the suspense until the last second...

I find the idea that Bella might be crazy super entertaining But MC saw the wedding picture with her and James so James can't be imaginary right? It's possible he died and she went crazy afterwards and started hallucinating but is there really any evidence for that aside from that one library scene? Sometimes I wish the game wasn't so long so I could go replay a route and look for evidence myself without having to commit a whole afternoon. Someone on the Bella path tell me if this theory is plausible cuz I want to add it to the crackpot theories I 100% believe like Lily being a cop

yeah of course its a falshback, but thats not an issue for this theory at all. She could have lost the job after that for example cause the boss notcied she is not well at all... and this very library takes part in ep8 at the date with the MC, she than runs away before they get there... in shock and fear. And why not? Just think about it, she is going back there... could even meet people from the past that are aware of her issues, and this would be revealed...

Another thing, the story he created to explain Jill has our antie is so wrong, not possible. When Jill is telling us the story of her sister she was already grown up like 6 or 7 years when her sister says goodbye to her, and mc mother died giving birth to mc, so MC can't be her nephew, the age gap it's not compatible.

I have to say.. Isabella is by far the character I would want to date in any of the games I've played. That being said, I still havent reached the end of 08.1 yet. So it might turn out she's an axe murderer or something. But hell... still... it might be worth it. God DAMN she's hot!

It's called Being a DIK because that's exactly what DPC is doing. Being a dick to all of us. I also wanted Heather so bad and the freaking texts between her and MC got my hopes up hard. I was hoping that during the breakfast scene, I could run to my room and get my jacket for her right in front of Tommy's face. I'll fight you again, Tommy. Sit down, you beta bitch.

Wait, what? Nobody said isn't a younger Bella, nor that it is B&R's library. I'm literally pointing out how that theory started because I remember reading the guy's post before. not really, but what convinced me now is just the simple line in episode 3 after the making out with Bella, that the MC rather would called for help instead of kissing her if he has known the truth.

Why would he say that if Bella doesnt need serious help?

Of course she is really married... but we cant say what happened to the husband. He just could have left, or maybe died in accident caused by Bella? And than she went crazy.

Jill knows something about the husband, but cleary not everything or the whole truth... and she doenst know what is in the locked room either... i will say, it the refugium for Bella to keep her husband "alive"... maybe the room is papered with pictures and so on...

*edit* and yeah it the starting scene of ep8 the boss is really acting a little weird... but i think formost concerned. She is sending Bella home, and i think she is doing so cause she senses that Bella isnt well.

And the Guy with the sunglases on the bench is strangely watching Bella... but i think everybody has encountered some people in real life talking to themself, and i bet you woudl watch them in a strange way too... so its another match for this theory i think.

I was waiting someone commenting on how bad was that Bella scene at the begining. Not only it was short but James lost any interest for me as a character. It was a one dimensional guy from a porn story. His only goal seemed to have sex with his wife. Now personally i can understand that, if your wife is Bella... but still... if you compare that with the tension achieved with Chad being blackmailed or the emotional insight we get from Quinn and Jill's childhoods... well its totally lame.

About the interlude. Yeah, could be, i also had a bad spin (who the fuck cares about Zoey?). But it could be a break DPC gaves him in the middle of his work. Or maybe he is doing like Summertime Saga. He has a long update and he want to release some short material content in the middle to compensate the fans. What we dont know and have no reasons to think its that this is a regular thing. Like every update is going to have an interlude. Even if Ep9 need 1 year, ep 10 could be back to 6 months.

I still firmly believe that James and Bella split up due to the loss of a child and the strain it put on their relationship. I feel like that's what's behind that locked door. Her childs bedroom that she's keeping as it was when the child died. The only evidence I have that supports this theory is the step stool in the bathroom next to the sink...unless James was a midget, I don't see any other reason that should be there.

I'm not sure, but DPC doesn't need to spend a lot of time creating the environment now, as he has created designs for almost all locations. The interlude is confusing, I agree, but I don't think it will be necessary to create 1000 renders for the sake of a minor character. The interlude, I assume, will be a linear story with a couple of animations and without complex code and mini-games, and may come out within a month after the announcement of the start of work.
