That would very much explain Bella's harshness and her walls that she put up. On top of that and James? If she's repressing one or both things of that magnitude, I can see why Bella tried to keep the MC at a distance initially....or a child born and then died a few years later...

I have just played that scene and Jill doesn´t say to Bella "why don´t you reveal your secret?" When Isabella reveals that she´s a Royce, Jill first says "but that was a secret", and when Isabella asks why that was a secret, she says "nevermind" and apologices. Maybe is a line that was changed by DPC?
I saw Jill say that line to Bella while I was on her route. Let me pull the picture up...

And why she says at the library "please, forgive me"? Did she was responsible of the death of the boy, or something? I just think that for some reason they had relationship troubles, James was frustrated trying to get to Bella and Bella being cold with him for some reason (as we see at the beginning of the last update), and when she sees Bella kissing Jill or something like that, it´s the last straw. He gets angry and leaves. That´s why Isabella feels guilty: first, for being cold with her husband. Second, for fooling around with Jill and scare him away.
Nope. Played it again with DIK affinity and "huge DIK" points with the mod, and the scene is the same. It makes sense, since is not the MC the one who talks, but Bella and Jill.

That's how I felt when I first played this game long ago. Went for Jill on a full CHIK and ever since, I couldn't do anything with anyone else. Just the way it is. You find that one girl and no matter what, you just can't resist her and don't want to stray to somebody else.

It's just a game... not even that... a Visual Novel ! I'm not saying to change your opinion about Jill ( hell no I think that chick is fine ) but thinking like this will leave you with too much content lost... and situations where you don't know what's what ! Sure you can find intel in places like this one but it's not the same ! I always assumed that scene referred to Jill getting hands-on grabby with people who share her bed while she slept, as what happened when MC stayed the night back in Ep 2 or 3. When Jill was forced to sleep with Bella that night because MC took the couch, she said to Bella it won't happen again. Eventually Jill left and took her chances on the couch with MC instead. That was always my interpretation of that scene, but it's been a year+ since I last played Ep 5 so my memory could be getting foggy.
We all know how dedicated I am to a single LI per game; it started a certain older sister from a certain almost abandoned game, to Megan from AL, to a certain Doc, then Jill. I blame it on those "big 4" in the very early stages of my VN career.
