Even if the next episode began with a prologue giving context to it being a past event, I would still be left wondering why on earth would DPC just drop a single flashback picture of a pregnancy test, in the middle of all the other current events of the epilogue.

So far all the episodes have been structured with the prologue being a flashback (both in recent and distant pasts) to give context to character arcs and epilogues have always served to give us an idea of what to expect in future episodes, messing with this design and starting mixing both these narrative devices just to create some suspense and mystery is a terrible idea.

I agree it'd be weird to be a flashback given the epilogues to each episode have been about events happening now, and the mc reading about something having happened in the past doesn't quite follow that pattern, but there are no hard rules here (other than no incest!)...

I'm much more inclined to believe it's happened with some of the side characters:
  • Jamie and Dany already had a pregnancy scare, but it was rather low key. We heard about it in episode 4 and it was resolved by episode 6. Regardless of what the mc says to Jamie, I think he hooks back up with Dany again. So she could be pregnant, but she's already cried wolf before, so who gives a fuck.
  • Magnar and Sally are on the rocks for some reason, and an unexpected pregnancy could be the reason, but so what, we have fuck all to do with them, and what, Sally will be even more snarky during the next game of DnG (damn, we need another game!)
  • Dawe and Arieth (or is that Anyone and Arieth)? I'm sure the kid would be dead due to lack of oxygen in no time since there seems to be no oxygen going to Arieth's brain either.
  • Rusty and Cathy? Yeah they're banging, but so what? Cathy would just abort and get on with life, she's not some drama queen college girl.
  • Stephen and Jade? Are they even fucking? Jade would just grab the nearest coat hanger for sure (she'd probably actually see a doctor, I'm just being vulgar).
  • I don't think Derek's had sex with Ashley under all possible game branches, so that rules them out.
  • Anthony and Ashley? When Derek's trying to get back with her, she tells him it's complicated. Now if she's pregnant to Big A, Derek's just gonna back off, so I can't see that being of much interest.
  • John Boy and Elena? They'd probably be thrilled as they are virtually married and there's so much love in that relationship they are ready to spread it to their offspring. Here's hoping for twins!
  • Tommy and Heather? I think this would be a big deal in the DIK house. But we've already had to put up with an episode of Tommy mooping around feeling sorry for himself, can we put up with more of that?
  • Tybalt and his lover? Will we hear the sound of little green and red feet running around the Prep's mansion? Yeah, I'm running out of ideas now...
So while it's interesting to wonder who it might be, I can't see it even mattering much. So my current guess is it'll just be Lynette in her diary.

Hello guys, I would like to ask you a question, I saw a thread here on the site that commented on good games that are worth playing even if they are not finished, Being a DIK was in it and they said it's worth it, because the contents are released are pretty satisfactory, but when I saw that it was 20G of memory I was a little skeptical of downloading, so I would like to know if anyone could tell me if it's really worth the download before it's finished and then follow up on the updates.

PS. English is not my first language.

He has already stated that he planned at least 16 episodes, and depending on the story it may range from 16 to 20 episodes. So we are exactly at the halfway mark.

If you start playing now, you have roughly 8-10 hours of content for a single route, so it’s definitely worth it.

Hi man, yeah the game is solid, 20gb is because of renders and they quality, wich are near perfect, almost all characters are unique, almost. And it's very long compared to other VN. I had to put 3 entire days of non stop play, just to see every path in one "go", and that is because I tempered with stupid DIK/CHICK system, cause you cannot see all routes in one playthrough.
Just to let you know, it will be around another 2-3 years before it's finished.

Quitting his job was risky, other devs didn't had the guts to do it. He invested heavily too. The hardware, assets and music can get really expensive, you can spend hundreds of dollars in a single scene.

And now when the game ends he will be a multimillionaire. Well deserved.

The DIK/Chick gimmick doesn't necessarily mean the rest of the game will be devoid of choices.

It's just gonna be a 4 season drama. 2 years per season, so 4 more years to go.

Sure it has to end, when the developer intended it to end.

At this point it's fairly obvious that the game is being constantly developed (the developer is working full time on this game, so it's a very solid production).

What's already there to play now is probably 20 hours or more of game time. That said, this game probably won't be finished for another 4 years (it's currently at the halfway mark).

It's a great game (depending on your tastes), and definitely my favourite on this site. And while it isn't complete, it still has a lot of replayability in it.

But one thing to understand, this game will hook you in. It's a classic case of, "Came here for the porn, stayed for the story".

No it's only mean that most of what MC will say would be one of a pussy or badass, whatever it's suit the scene or not. So no, if I stick around till the end I will 100% temper with that system, and forget if someone tells you it brakes the game, it will not.
