I'm fairly new to all this so I apologize if the coherence of this message will be lacking but I'm planning to ask a fairly "broad question" that will need an answer from someone who clearly knows a lot more about Ren'Py than I do. I've already done 3 playthroughs of Season 1 and Season 2 (both completely on Steam) of Being a Dik with NO MODs but Unren with which I only unlocked the console (no Developer Menu since it chopped the transitions between images making them disappear completely in favor of horrible transparent frames with nothing on them)...

P.S: It's also one of my first times writing with the usual forum formatting, so have mercy on my soul... The rest of the details (in order to help me better reach my objective) will then be included in the various responses or below so as not to over lengthen the post itself, thanks for the attention guys... you rocks! Almost forgot... I used different console commands for various purposes within the game (to increase money, to change affinity, and so on) so I understood "at least" the dynamics of those aspects, what am I missing to achieve my goal?

What you want to do is something annoying because certain routes close others, what you would have to do is alternate the character's affinity and close one route to open another and then reopen it

Right in the first conversation Maya and the MC introduce themselves to each other. This was in the hallway and not in front of HOT's house. Also, the tuition problem was not yet acute. Josy had not been accepted to college at this point. Maya was in relatively good spirits, although she was already thinking about it.

Why Quinn is always seen as the antithesis of Maya is simple. Quinn tries to solve her financial worries and problems with shady methods. Maya is the opposite of that.

In the post you referenced, I didn't write about the Preps party. But I'm picking it up again now. Why did Sage organize the preps party? Because Quinn was taking in too many girls at HOT's and that's why he ran out of money. Sage specifically says that it should be the last time she pulls the car out of the dirt for Quinn. So Sage has to make up for a mistake Quinn made. Sage also asks Quinn to cancel the DIKs, which Quinn has not done. So Quinn has already created another problem to solve. Sage and the MC probably solve this by planning the Halloween party. Yes Quinn is involved, but the planning was initiated by Sage. So Sage and the MC (on the DIK side) is solving the problem.

Quinn not cancelling the DIKs is just Tommy showing his lesbian side, he's very annoying in episode 5.

Plus the MC gets much more that night than if the DIKs threw a party with the HOTs, winning.

I don't think Jill's oppais are that big. They are a tad on the stiff side, but completely average in size, especially as far as AVNs go. And small jubblies does not necessarily = natural. I've seen plenty of non-fat women IRL with massive natural cans. I do like the overall look of Quinn's toned body in particular, but I'm ok with all different bewb sizes from flat-chested Sally up to Bella and beyond. What I don't like is the exaggerated (tiny) waistline, particularly of Bella. It's a primary reason I don't fancy that character. It's like you said, it constantly reminds me that this is a 3D model. I now realise why I very much like the morning after Bella in this shot below...

The shirt mostly hides her insanely small waist and thus she looks like an actual human female. Still has the bobblehead thing going on though.

P.S. Agree with you on the oddness of Jill wearing her war paint even to bed. Her cement mixture doesn't even really come off in shower! But hey, raccoon gotta raccoon.

It was about a year ago you put forward the idea that DPC intentionally wrote Maya's character to be hated by the player. I thought it was an interesting theory and looked forward to discussing it, but then HB had an aneurysm or something and the cucks went crazy and the opportunity passed. I was musing on the theory, thinking of how a Bad Maya would manifest in the story when I hit upon the idea that she was lying about the loan.

I was musing on the theory, thinking of how a Bad Maya would manifest in the story when I hit upon the idea that she was lying about the loan.

I don't think she's lying about the loan, she just has no idea how it works. We know from study sessions she's bad at basic math, that's the subtle clue from Pinkcakes that Burke will take one listen to Maya story and tell her point blank that's not how any of this shit works and her problem will be solved.

Or Burke will realize that Maya is naive and try to take advantage of her, who knows, either way not my problem. Well hopefully no longer my problem, doubt that to be the case, MC will most likely have another Lesbian moment and some point even though he's happy on the Others path.

Thing is, her line about never seeing the MC that way means it was largely just sex for her. The threshold for taking what she wants regardless of her partner is kinda low.

It means she was willing to cheat on Chad purely for sex. She’s willing to outwardly pursue “just sex” publicly such as at the DIK party early on (where Jacob steps in). Not even social pressure to appear faithful is an issue for her. That’s a really low threshold for her to cheat.

I’ve always had a massive issue with the line about her never seeing the MC that way. It’s out of character with her previous actions and it throws up all sorts of questions. It cheapens the MC and hers relationship. It’s a small thing but Bella can point to genuinely developing feelings for the MC. Josy has a (albeit short) history with the MC and cites a connection and chemistry even back at the supermarket job. Maya has never felt this way about a guy and even Josy admits it’s a big deal how Maya feels and she says that as the betrayed partner.

Sage just wanted some dick and doubles down later saying that’s all he was to her. Id take anything at this point to justify it. Even Sage vocalising how she just did it, at first, for attention she wasn’t getting elsewhere and apologising for using the MC like that but reaffirming she started to fall for him.

Better than using MC as a human sex toy and only consciously seeing him as more once Chad was gone. For the record she’s my second favourite LI. I just think this needs addressing.

What really irks me about Sage is the way, starting in Episode 5, she's 100% gunning for the MC if he didn't become her fuck buddy. It's really hard to square that behavior with her explanation that she didn't want to formally date a fuck buddy MC for fear of damaging their friendship. I mean technically, yes, she could be seeking a purely sexual relationship with the friendzone MC too, but how on earth is that supposed to be less damaging to their friendship?

Honestly, I think DPC wanted to speed up Sage's pace to hit the crossroad in time, and as a result her friend path was accelerated to near light speed, while her fuck buddy arc was flattened to fit the same overall shape as the friend arc. It's annoying, because there is a lot of potential here that's getting wasted in the process. Maybe Season 3 will finally settle down and get her romance back on tracks, but with all the focus on Zoey and the Interlude I'm not feeling it at the moment.

Yeah, that always bothered me quite a lot, also, in EP8 she freaking sleeps with make-up on and in the next morning she already has perfect make-up, different nail painting and got breakfast done, to then proceed and have raging sex on the dinner table, all this on a Sunday ffs!

In EP1 DPC actually went through the trouble of removing it but I can't remember another scene where he did it.
Perhaps it's too time consuming to be tinkering not only with her hair but also her make-up all the time. If that's the reason I can deal with it. It's better than having to delay chapters for another week or two just because of these little details.

Technically, that was Episode 2. Maya had a few scenes without her usual thick makeup back then, too. I do wish we could see the girls that way a little more often.

In fact, it's fine. The next update is six months away and this brings its own variety. I think we could count how many times JAL will be banned and even keep statistics.

How do you know? Did you play the friend only path with Sage? WTF is wrong with you!?

Her rushing to jump into a relationship with the mc after her breakup with Chad, and her pushing the mc to take charge within the DIKs (at least to start organizing the Halloween party) does give credence to the idea that she likes to be linked to the important people in the college. First Chad, who obviously wasn't interested, and now MC (even if he's not interested).

Added to that, if you look around the college, who the fuck else is a girl gonna hitch up with? The good ones are taken (Magnar for one) and most of the other dudes are pretty hopeless.

What's also interesting about her wanting to be with the mc, if he's playing the field (of course he's playing the field), Sage kinda knows it, and for a whle she doesn't care, but once they become a couple, she's gonna care about his philandering, so at some point they are gonna have to have that talk:

Sage: "OK Fuckface, it's now time for you to stop fucking every other girl on campus."​

mc: "Awww."​
