The MC does say whatevers in the guidelines won't change how he feels or stop him being with her.

I agree the scene is paper thin and lazy but it does try to explain their laissez faire attitude.
the problem of any negative consequences of a teacher-student relationship is all on Bella's shoulders, MC can only assure her that he is convinced of his choice

I don't doubt that they would have feced the problem, I'm still amazed that they didn't think it was worth taking a look at this regulation... even with the smartphone on the fly in case...

but you know that if you don't postpone solving a problem forever, you'll only half enjoy it
Sure, I mean, we all agree that the moment Bella started speaking about the elephants in their relation the Husband theme need to arise, but after seeing the reactions after the first two themes it became pretty clear to both them that talking about Bella marriage at that point will complete destroy the date, and after the conclusion of the first date, ruining this will probably mean the end of their relation.

Sure probably any reasonable adult will see that the missing husband problem need to be talked and postponing the issue will just jeopardize everything, but come on, the MC is just a 19 years old kid that is having a date with possibly his first love, and yes, he might be a bit more mature that his peers thanks to his upbringing, but he is still a kid. So even thought he knows there is a issue left to speak about, he just ignore it for the sake of saving the date
Yes, but MC is only half the apple (however, from my point of view, if it was a choice to let it go, he should have at least thought of it explicitly).
what is Bella's excuse? she is the married woman who is asking a student for an absolute vote for her. it is up to her to be clear before convincing, as you say, a boy.

the fact that THE PROBLEM is left out takes away all meaning from the whole scene. what is the point of promises when it could all end the next morning with James' return? what cruel request is it to ask MC to end every other story of his, when it is unknown whether Bella is really free or not?

The marriage will have to come up during Jill and Bella's confrontation in (hopefully) the next episode, there's no way Jill won't mention it. The only question to me is if MC will be present during that scene or not. DPC might try to just make it a scene between Jill and Bella and keep MC in the dark until the next EP or whatever.
It's honestly one of my most awaited scenes, if their little argument during EP6 was anything to go by, it will be quite a fun catfight to watch, even more so now that Jill has finally "found her voice" :BootyTime::BootyTime:.
I hope so, it is very likely

actually if they at least talk about it between the two of them we can also assume that they talk about it with MC anyway

like Maya never telling MC what she really said to Sage, it could be that she did it "off stage", it's acceptable

Faced with a very strange bug. In episode 8, during the free movement of the characters room, you need to log in to the Contact app and call a whole bunch of characters. But I can't do that. The next scene cannot be started. A message pops up: "You still have things to do." What should I do, guys?

Here's another food for thought, what if Bella's husband is in prison?
Bella's husband is probably in a vegetative state in the locked room. Bella has to see him everyday as his caregiver, but he's gone. She 'forgives him' for the pain his state has put her through, but she nonetheless feels guilty about moving on / living her life.

He got put into a vegetative state due to an accident on a construction site run by Neil. (He wasn't wearing a hard hat ...)

People have proposed this before. It’s not really a part time job to be looking after someone in a coma. She couldn’t be just casually spending the night at other people’s houses or having overnight guests and never interacting with him.

The MC lived with her for a while. Stays the night a few times… she couldn’t have even slipped a care worker past everyone to pick-up the slack.

If DPC goes that way it’s gonna be one of the more absurd suspension of disbeliefs.

That's if Burke would know if he's in prison.
Burke both as a role and as a personal interest in Bella has every interest in being informed about her.

And that's not something that's very easily hidden...not as a last name at least....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I wouldn't want PDC to take it as a competition....

This is why I've said in the past that these surprise twist are the worst thing in the story. I'm not saying that because I dislike twist (I do dislike them but it's besides the point), I say it because DPC is so bad at setting them up and tries to draw it out so much that the whole structure just collapses.
when these twists are blatantly dragged in time it's pretty terrible

luckily it didn't happen that often, the Sage's parents plot twist was in the same chapter for example (before it wasn't that relevant) so this way it's acceptable

Check your questlog, normally you get that message when you need to do something before you can proceed.

He could also be hitting on her knowing he's in prison. He doesn't necessarily have to mention it. "I'll try to seduce because she must be lonely"

I think he knows that she is lonely, if why was a serious reason from death to prison I find it hard to imagine that Burke might not have discovered it

at one point she says something like "oh James I wish you'd come back, it's been 3 years". now I don't remember the exact wording but the way I remembered it was like he could come back at any point, not like he has a date before which he can't come back

The marriage should be a huge deal! I was little surprised it wasn't the brought up during the date night or breakfast. I think it's a bigger deal than the teacher/student situation and the Jill relationship. "I would like nothing more than to be in a relationship with you. What about your husband? What is the current status of your marriage?" That should be the first thing you should ask.
Why? Why should it be a huge deal?

Speaking solely as one who, once upon a time, was a young and horny male, the relationship status of an older woman meant nothing to me. Whether she was in one or not is not my concern. Whether she is into me or not, that is my concern. If she's not into me, nothing happens. If she is into me, nothing else matters. Her other relationships are her problems to contend with.

It should if you have morals and want an actual relationship. What if the guy is bat shit crazy. Maybe the relationship is not over for him. He could come home one day, catch his wife in bed with another men and decides to go shoot the both of them. It could possibly happen because the story is written by DPC . That shit happens in real life. Yeah... I would think that's kind of important when starting a relationship with someone. You ask the simple question "what the fuck is up with your marriage?" The answers could be "We are separated, I plan on cheating on my husband, he's dead, overseas, in prison, in a vegetative state, being held for ransom, I killed him and he's buried in my backyard, etc.... " Anything to shed light on the marriage situation.....
