It's speculation yeah, not totally unlikely but seems the little info we have on Lana is not expanded on anywhere.
Perhaps there will be more later but it just as well could have been just background info for Jill's character...
For now it's just Jill's motivation for the recital, perhaps on her path it will play a role but i doubt it will be tied to the main story.

But memes aside, I'm impatient for that MC/Zoey flashback scene. The only one we got from the game sucked really bad and it was probably made in a time when DPC wasn't so advanced in animations and renders. It's going to be good.

If we compare the quality of the first season with chapter 6 onwards, the change is very noticeable
