The retirement home grandma that MC spoke to will play a more import role. Either Jade's husbands mother or Rusty's grandma. Cancel the 2nd part; Rusty would've commented on it.

It's bad enough the mc didn't know Sage's last name after hanging out with her for months (like as an adopted kid her surname would be "Burke"), but if the mc is too stupid to know his own mom's surname...

I really like the idea of Rusty's family being involved in some drama cuz I know my boy Rusty would back us 100%. Rusty is severely underrated imo, I really wish the MC got him as a father instead of Tommy.

Yeah, Rusty's goated. Probably nowhere near as exciting as a "father" story wise though.
