I know I can, but Scrappy's mod allows me to stay on everyone's path as well, and it hasn't fucked up my game yet at all, I didn't encounter any issues or errors/crashes.

It seems you really dislike people doing this, for some reason.
dont use mods, never ever with being a dik... if you want to cheat (for whatever reasons, there are none i think), use console, everything else will fuck up your playthrough sooner or later, its always the same around here.
And really... its mentioned nearly every page at this thread.
Especially being a dik has so many variables... every mod will sooner or later lead to issues, thats about it, dont blame it on the game or DPC, using mods is always a risk you take yourself.

I take the risk, and I accept that risk, if it ever becomes a problem, I will restart without the mod, not a big deal.

There are four issues with using mods:
- The mods add new lines of code to incorporate themselves into the logic. If you install a mod, play and save, when a new version of the game comes out and you install it without the mod, your old save game position can be misaligned and can cause some problems (including crashing). This is just inherent in the RenPy application.
- Modifying variables to enable scenes (like multimods etc.) can result in strange behaviour later in the game as the variable count increases and the modders lose track of what's going on. Even with only a few variables, like the new "branchSage", "BranchJill" etc., the logic later on looks at these variables in an if/else format, meaning whichever is checked first will be the logic that is processed. Just by setting all the branches to "True" doesn't mean the game will work properly. So the modder has to create heaps of logic to enable pretty much everything. At the beginning this was a piece of cake but it's become slowly more unwieldly.
- Also, DPC, the developer, is putting in cheat detection logic in each new releases of the game that looks at the mods used on previous releases. He causes the game to simply just exit if it's he's determined a mod was used. Subsequent mods remove this logic, but in the meanwhile heaps of players are getting booted from their game until a mod for each release if created.
- Finally, if you use mods, sixart will be mean to you.
