That's was my point of view. Speaking for others, for the gaming community - as I said, the second season received 96% in Steam. The vast majority believe that the second season is not worse than the first.

Fortunately, ep. 8 got better later on, but not enough to make it more enjoyable than the general vibe of season 1.
I really hope DPC doesn't go back to his AL ways.

however, I have a doubt that might strongly challenge this impression.

how much does the fact that we played the entire first season together weigh in our judgment while we had to wait for the second from chapter to chapter?

I would put my hand on it that the first season is much more cohesive and compact than the second (what happens in the second season? other than Quinn and Jill and Bella's first time at the last moment, I can think of little...), but I'm not sure if this impression is strongly influenced by having had the chance to play the first season all in one go, enjoying the twists and turns instead of waiting for them bored...

7 is my personal favorite episode out of all the seasons, with 4 or 5 coming in at a close second. I also think people limiting their routes will severely shrink some episodes. I found despite the fact that I hate Quinn with a passion, when I played through her route out of curiosity that 8th's episode size swelled substantially.
