I agree that the attention to 'extraneous' details is what makes BaDIK one of the all time greats, but those details do ultimately come at the cost of longer development time. I liked both D&G sessions, but for me personally the plethora of animated imaginary sex scenes wasn't worth the 2+ weeks they added to Episode 6's development time.

Others will asses them differently and fair enough; we all have different tastes. Still, with the development times steadily increasing, I think we're going to have to find some sort of common ground about what scenes should be prioritized if we're ever going to convince DPC to rein things in. Madame is probably the only consensus target, but even cutting her completely probably won't be enough as the game continues to expand.



I get the idea, but it seems odd that *only* the M&J path would give you this last minute option. The throuple was the oldest of the options to be established by the time we reach the crossroads, yet it's the only one that remains entirely unimplemented if chosen. It's just weird.



But the thing is that an MC can make those same "important" decisions and still tell Madame to pound sand when she shows up (as he should!). Likewise a pure CHICK player could potentially run out of money at an inopportune time just by doing badly at minigames and spending money on things like the wallet expansion. If all the things that could potentially make Madame significant can happen (or not happen) independently of Madame herself, that suggests to me that Madame is indeed as irrelevant as she appears to be.



I agree the MC doesn't have much reason to suspect Camila's involvement in the restaurant if he turns down Quinn's offer, but somehow the MC draws the correct conclusion. His inner monologue explicitly refers to Quinn using Camila when he considers warning Maya about Quinn's Unending Evil(tm).

The discussion is whether using the restaurant will be problem on the Sage branch. Even if you were using the restaurant before choosing Sage you were still exploiting her sisters and she won't forgive that easily.

The biggest issue might actually be the Throuple path + using restaurant. Maya finding out you were paying for sex with HOTs in arrangement with Quinn and even knowing the content of Maya's list he didn't tell her what Quinn might be planning for her?

Technically if Fuckface refuses Quinn's offer he only has reason to believe Rio is involved (seeing them come out of dorm bathroom together and Quinn mention of Asian on the menu) without using restaurant there's no reason to know Cam is the spicy option (other than the HOTs bathroom incident which could be basic hazing) or that Sarah and Mel are involved. As far as Fuckface knows it could be students who aren't HOTs or even non-students Quinn is in business with.

The thing is MC tries to worn people and Sage herself about it but people conveniently brush it off as nothingburger because plot.

Each game's update of DPC is getting more and more. He talked about wanting to make each new update more balanced, but it seems he couldn't optimize the development. If the game drops only in November or December, there's only one chapter awaiting for us in 2023. I'm sure after such a hard development, he will take a couple of weeks off. It's scary to imagine how long one episode in season 4 will take time. He can do it for several years.

several times DPC has expressed the intention to "normalize" the size of episodes, but for now it has remained precisely just a good intention.

and with the increasing ramifications in the story I don't see how DPC can do anything in this direction (except cut all the extras which, however, are the only part that seems to excite him in the weekly updates)

I assume so that there will be three basic branches for the MC. DIK, NEUTRAL, CHICK.
