Scrappy's mod is not updated for 0.8.3, unfortunately. They certainly do fantastic work on a huge number of games, so I can't blame them by any measure, but I enjoy playing with a little more insight into the effects of my choices.

If you are insistent upon playing a modified game, which will likely result in your saves being broken in some manner for S3+, I would encourage you to at least consider SanchoMod. He also makes available a simple drop-in file that will fix any modded saves in an un-modded game, if you can't wait to play the next versions until he's updated his mods.

He puts out weekly updates on his progress, puts out regular preview images, and his output is right in line with the amount of time he says he spends on the project, including both increasing productivity and also growing render/animation/length of playtime numbers. How on Earth could you think he was going to "vanish?"

How many of those devs have completed games in the past before the abandoned game? DPC has proven himself capable of finishing a project, most devs who abandon their games don't have that and it's a case of either they've earned enough money or they don't know how to continue/finish the game so just give up. DPC will know where he wants this game to go and will already have the brushstrokes of what happens every episode.

There is absolutely no reason to believe he is about to quit this project.

I am reminded of a developer who had completed his previous game and was making very good money with the last one, yet the story ended badly

seem like pretty weak reassurances to me, let's hope anyway that everything goes well and if anything, a little faster

This is my first and last post here. I'm 35 yo ex-druggie, who was an atheist and made small crimes to get by, never really wanted to hurt anyone (but I did, mostly my family with lies). I encountered God 5 years ago, and with the faith in Christ God set me free from bondage of weed and ecstasy addiction and also sex addiction, but around a year ago I fell back in to sexual sin of masturbation and it has been a struggle.

I found these VN's and adult games because I never wanted to get hooked in porn again. I played this Being A Dik game and it kind of shook my world. What I mean by that is it really hit me hard, and I've waited and waited for months for the update and ran away from the calling of God, but I can't wait anymore and I must turn back to Him. I want to say to everyone there is forgiveness, I think even for me, big sinner who knows the truth yet I still lust after pixels.. Jesus is real, He loves you and wants to save you, and me... I go back to Him now, I want to have PEACE again, which I had for many years.. but when a believer struggles like me all I wanted was play the update and THEN turn but there are people living near me who need to hear the truth and I hope God will take me back, and I can be a worker for Him again. I'm dissapointed in myself for falling back in this sin and also to DPC, for taking this long to update. Interlude was useless and waste of time. But hope you find eternal life too DPC, and each and everyone of you here. Money and anything tangible won't cut it, we all need a real heart change. Take care and hope to see you all in heaven.

You need to understand that for this money work not 1-2 people, but 10-20, or maybe more.. And they all need to be fed (At least every other day)

Yes, Interlude was an update. A boring, unnecessary update that has delayed several months the REAL update.

No, the Interlude was a REAL update (whatever the fuck that means).

Like it or not, this is DPC's work, and they get to decide what to put out. You don't want to pay for it? Well, I mean, that's what this place is here for. But you don't get to make up facts. It has not been 11 months since an update, it's been 8.

And for what it's worth, I liked the Interlude. Sure, I'm looking forward to the next update, but I'm pretty confident the Interlude will, in fact, add to the experience.

While giving the kind of updates DPC gives? Nah. Look, if they ever go incommunicado, get worried, but until then, dude has an excellent track record for delivering what they promise. Well, they aren't very good at reigning in their ambition, but that's fine by me.

First time I look at this thread in a week and you are still repeating the same thing.

It adds a tiny bit if you decide to go after Zoey but adds nothing with any other character. The whole interlude adds as much to BaDIk as the start of the episode flashback of Josy and Maya. It was a small amount of background on a single character. It will add nothing to 99% of the game. Unless all the interlude characters will be coming to BaDIK then people can easily skip it and won't be missing out on anything of real value except a couple of minor things about Zoeys past.
