That game is a mess! Dev has already made a remake of the remake. Also, compared to the previous remake, the game does not update EXP points.
The bigger issue is that this is the third time we've had a release of chapter one in five years. We've had absolutely zero forward progress with this game.

You know, I'm starting to wonder if this dev and many others suffer from perfectionisticitis. I mean, couldn't you remake the game after you finish it? (Like the dev from Ataegina for example) Why create more work? If you finish the story and then remake the game, you only need to remake it once and you're done... So why remake it over and over and over and over? Imo all that time invested in constant remaking, you could've (almost) finish the story? Meh, I'm just ranting, don't mind me

Ok, so this did desperately need the story to be smoothed out, and the plotholes removed, so the remake is not a bad idea. Hopefully he quickly reuse all the renders and animations to catch back up.

.In all seriousness, I was a fan of this game and its characters, and both its visuals and writing were good, so it is really a terrible decision to remake it tbh
.I hope the people who said he intends to only remake the intro, reintegrate it with the main game, and continue the main game are right, as at least there would be hope in the game continuing that way. Sadly I think he will want to remake the whole thing
.Dev, the game is amazing, especially Ruby. But for God's sake, develop the story and don't redo the first chapter.

Wow. Do my eyes deceive me or this thing hasn't even moved along? I played it like 3-4 years ago and forgot about it hoping to let it marinate but i don't see lots, if not any progress at all, Damn.

He had a bit of play going. Then all of a sudden decided to remake it. So now it has less than before. Hopefully he got that out of his system and will make some real progress now.
