OK I am just going to say this is horrible. Why change it so much. It was great the way it was now. I don't want to play it so different. And not for the positive. I was invested in the characters especially the mom she is just not likeable.

Who would have thought that having two set and versions of an MC, plus now remakes with two set of gameplay, would make progression slower. I never saw this coming
Still didn't understand what was added. Is the hospital portion additional and rest of the story same as before? Any new ruby/nikki scenes added?

oof. sandbox and VN versions of the game. black/white skinned MC and an intro remake that was supposed to be folded into the rest of the old game last update (or maybe it was this one idk anymore). This game has been spinning its wheels for a long looooong time now.
Game is also only going to be 2 chapters long now? Gonna be interesting to see what kind of a story can be told in only 2 chapters.

2.7gigs for barely any new content that part of the game before they decided to randomly revamp it instead of just continuing the story. Looks the exact same anyways.
Look, I'm just gonna say it. This game is dead.
Will it get more updates? Yeah, probably.
Is there still gold here? Absolutely.
Do I wish things were different? You better fucking believe it.
But none of it matters. We've gone BACKWARDS in terms of content. There's now less game than ever before. Look the plot was interesting the first time (version) I read it. And it was good the second time (version). And passable the third. We're now on the fourth retelling of the exact same story.
I get it, artists want their story to match their vision, but even George Lucas knew you had to FINISH a story before you remade it.
It sucks, because I have a lot of love in my heart for this game, and I think the Dev is a decent (if extremely unfocused) developer and person. But momentum is everything and we haven't moved in years.

You know, when I started to learn a musical instrument; every time I made a mistake while playing a song, I wanted to start over but my teacher said I should continue every time I make a mistake. Just note the mistake and finish the song. Only start over and correct it when you're finished otherwise you don't go anywhere.
I think the same logic applies to this as well. Like I said in earlier post; it's better to leave the mistakes and correct them when you finished the game. (Like the dev from Ataegina) Not when you're not even half way and then suddenly you decide to scrap everything and start over. And again another remake because the last remake wasn't up to standard. Oh another remake because there was a slight upgrade in graphics the last years the dev spent remaking the game, coercing him/her to remake it again. Nothing is perfect, so why are these devs chasing perfection instead of just telling their story?

I believe we should just let them cook for now. Atleast the game is not abandoned all of a sudden, atleast they are remaking or doing other things with the game and seeing how they went blender mode they care about the money and the audience. Even I want the story to continue to have 4 chapters like it was intended maybe they will make 4 chapters if we nag them. But let them progress however they want and tbh the new intro feels better tho a bit too exaggerated with all those no use dialogues but the pacing of the game is better due to that being in effect now. And I somewhat agree that the story should reach a certain point and then they can remake or do whatever they want in a full sweep but this ain't also that bad!! Am just for victoria, mom and mostly NICKIII

If a story goes nowhere, it is bad. I prefer stories that go towards an ending or something, not a never ending story that constantly starts over from scratch and doesn't go further than chapter 2. But whatever floats your boat I guess.
And true, the game could've been abandoned but... if the dev keeps remaking the game to chapter 1, isn't it almost the same as being abandoned? xD
And I don't care if this intro is better than the old one, I was waiting for the story to continue. He could've changed the intro -after- he was done writing the story. But beggars can't be choosers so I have actually no right to complain. I'll just shelve this for a couple years before picking up. (if the dev decides to continue with the game that is)

I agree with you to a extent but what can we do in this vn industry its always like this, and yes it would be better to shelve up this game if one can't bear the constant remaking even i do that a lot and i did it with this game too, yes its really bad I have been with this game since it just launched and the story has went nowhere completely agree on that. But less give them some time, the thing i like about sandman is they have been giving their all and making the game more and more feature and story rich the dialogues have come a long long way than the first release (some are still cringe and don't make sense) but yeah. We can't say it has been abandoned as i am enjoying the remaking progress a lot, even tho i want to get past the indian girl chai scene which we haven't been able to get further ahead of (it sucks a lot) they could have approached this in a better way like both story and remake wise, but what can we do it's their choice their game, us followers can just wait and good thing - sandman doesn't give shit excuses like OHH I HAVE BEEN SICK, or what so ever. Just wait my guy, i believe the game will be more crisp more refined by august as they have promised! And with blender getting in the game ohh man those animations will be super refined and smooth. Just keep watching the game or shelve it up to you! And yeah, sandman has fucking finally started making wanghai city structure, and i am sort of infuriated that they haven't even made the main city yet at this pace who knows when we will meet max and have victoria fun
