Not blaming you for thinking like this, dude. There's plenty of people who are like that and give up when they realize making games is harder than they thought, or just do it to trick people. Personally, I couldn't give two fucks about money. And yeah, I kept Patreon open. I also sent Goodie Packs with illustrations to my Patrons each month without fault, no matter how shitty I felt. Not trying to change your mind, and maybe I should have talked more openly about my issues, but hey, I promised to send sleazy art every month, I promised the game wasn't going to be abandoned. I kept my word.And this is the reason i would never pledge in advance to an individual or group of ppl gathering around to make up a porn game based on animated series because of their subtle jokes or sex innuendos to appeal to certain group of people into this.
Fuck them and the horse their rode on for showing this kind of unfaithful practices and this is just another of many cases where these kind of people never going to be transparent while taking as priority the only thing that matters: $$$Money$$$
I say this to the end of times but if there's any honest & humble indie starter or long time NSFW indie game dev out there then the most reasonable if you're not gonna continue to push on spending time with developing the game: Pause all pledges.
The most common thing to do for whatever situation you're dealing with either if is IRL, Health related, Family related etc... if you as a Game NSFW Dev knows you cannot continue on giving out actual game builds updates, teasers or transparency reports then fucking cease all incoming pledges for the next months until you sorted out your situation.
There's even devs that feels to be so transparent and share the situation but not in deep because of privacy reasons. Yet those have the decency of letting know their supporters what's going on and what to expect during that timeframe so they take the decision of keep supporting them or pause their pledges.
Again when money it's a factor that always going to come to the table for your life expenses then it's highly understandable most devs will not pause them and they on their right to do whatever they feel it's best and the last decision relies on the supporter if to stop pledging or to continue even after it got an heads up from the dev(s) itself.
This game died for me a while ago when one of these devs said the use of AI, so respectfully also fuck that kind of practice

the game IS abandoned, and should be treated as such unless yall can provide a progress update and ETA. at this point your patreon is only for goodie packs, which is fine, but saying the game isnt abandoned is just lying

I don't think you know what the word abandoned means. Just because they haven't posted an update in a while doesn't mean they haven't been working on the game from time to time.

Maybe close the patreon then? Or change the incentives since it's clear you've not been doing ANYTHING towards the actual progress of the game for ages now. If you dont give two fucks about money make your patreon free and accept commissions instead of giving out "goodie packs". Scummy.

Yeah give the people what they want stop trying to give us goodie packs close the Patreon and focus on developing the game before someone comes in dose it for you are doing the same thing as Yandere dev and that isn't a sentence I would compare to

I mean this is a good start for those of us that can't or won't support u on Patron (I despise patreon, but like others have said I am cautious of supporting game b4 a majority of the game is out), I would definitely suggest coming on here at least once a month or so and giving an update on the games situation, a time frame for when the next version will be released would also be great but not necessary and being more open about the situation couldn't hurt to win people back and maybe even get them to support u again or for the 1st time.
