Much like Lily, I am very confused as to why the hate for Maya. Maybe something to do with her past I am guessing. But hopefully we will get more answers as more releases come out. Thank you so very much for this, and totally looking forward for the next release!!!

dev, i have to ask you, why did you make the mc such a pussy? that skinhead shoves maya to the ground and then pushes your young daughter to the ground and all this wimpy mc can say is "knock it off, leave them alone" are you for real? he should have jumped that skinhead and beat him like a drum and tell him to manup and fight a guy not a little girl you pussy. i know there were other protesters there but they looked older and he still could have gotten his family and run away. but now im not sure im gonna play this anymore, cause i hate when an mc is a wimpy character, even if he gets beat up, atleast stand up for your family. this pussy is definately not "the man of the house", maybe the bitch of the house.
you even have the turn based combat tag, dont you think he should have been able to fight back the skinhead or the guards who just take maya with no warrant?
I understand your frustration with the MC's reaction in that scene. The intention was to portray a moment of vulnerability, rather than outright aggression, but I see how that might not resonate with everyone. Your perspective on wanting the MC to stand up more assertively for his family is valid, and it's something I'll keep in mind as I continue to develop the story and characters.

As for the warrant, I can't spoil anything for you, but there are some details in the game that you might have missed the first time around. For example, John receives a white envelope in the render below, which could provide some hints. I encourage you to revisit that part—it might shed some light on the situation.

What if Maya is just a doll, and everything you’ve seen is a fabrication of MC's mind? Is reality truly what it seems?:eek::eek:

Moments of vulnerability should come out of hopeless situations though. If you just refuse to act because you are a wimp then it is just a moment of cowardice.
I think the agents taking Maya away is a good example of a moment of vulnerability, I dont expect him to try and beat them all up and prevent them from taking her away, they are probably armed and they seem to be "related" to her and "authorized" to do what they are doing . .... but a random dude that already got violent, even with your child present? bruh, just kick him in the balls.

The MC has been yapping constantly about how important Maya and his daughter are, but when he sees them both getting abused in front of him, he's too scared to get hurt?? I mean this kind of situations is how you lose all respect of your loved ones if you dont act to protect them. This dude gets more mad at Maya for wearing his wife's dress (if you pick the "stay silent" option) than at the thug assaulting and intimidating her and his child :HideThePain:. And later, he even gives her the talk about being family and "taking care of each other" , bro....

So yeah, I didn’t like that part of the game at all. It made me dislike the MC to the point where I don’t know if he can recover. Maybe you could make it three thugs instead of one, or just arm them with bats and other weapons to make refusing the confrontation feel more like a wise/coolheaded decision rather than a cowardly one. I know there are other protesters, but the dude was acting alone in getting physical.

Other than that, I liked the game. Maya and Emily are great so far, and Ava is hot. I also really like the concept of AI robots becoming sentient, and it seems to be going somewhere similar, I think, so I’m very excited to see what’s coming next. Hopefully, the MC gets better because, as he is now, I don’t see how he could build a harem.

I agree with you. I'm not sure but from the name I think the dev may be a lady. So she may not fully understand the male psychology in this type of situations. I think she can easily change a little bit, like you already suggested, and make the game better. And I encourage you to criticize constructively again like this. That will make this game better.
Also from the Dev's previous message it shows she's considering the suggestions. It's her first game after all. I'm optimistic with the game. Best wishes Ava (y)

I listened to people's advice here and revised that one scene.

I have also addressed many issues and misunderstandings in this update.

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it. Could you take another look and give it another try?

Hi, can I ask what do you mean by "revised"?
Did you remove it, made optional, or altered the scene like what Lucas suggested?
Also is revised now, as in you altered the OP download file, or will be revised in the next v0.3?

I didn’t remove anything. It was a suggestion from many people, so I took it into consideration and added some additional content at that point in the story. However, that wasn't the main focus of this update. This update also includes 326 new renders and a lot of new dialogue—about one complete chapter plus another half.

I see that some people in the review section are misunderstanding what I’m trying to present. Maya was dragged out, and a letter was left in front of the main character. I’ve already explained this, but to make things even clearer in this update, every confusion will be resolved.

I have my own storytelling style, and I know not everyone will vibe with it. But I hope you’ll give me a chance to show what I’ve created. I’ve already finished writing the story—what takes the most time and energy is putting effort into rendering.

I truly hope you all find something worthwhile in my work. Thank you again!

Wasn't a fan. Game overs are what did it for me. This reminds me of the show Humans.

One of the big things that bothered me besides the game overs, was the describing of emotions. It's a visual novel. Keyword, visual. All that stuff should be done in the images. It shouldn't need to be describe, because you should be showing it. Thus, visual novel.

Then there are times where you are saying things that are happening, yet the image isn't showing any of that happening. You'll sit on one image for a while, while the text describes a bunch of things happening that are not in the image at all.

If you want to write a book, write a book. If you want to do a visual novel, then do a visual novel. Emotion should be in the images, not in text. What you're describing, should be in the images, not in text. Show don't tell. That's the point of a visual novel.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Between the above, the game overs, the mini games, and timed choices, I just couldn't. Honestly, it needs work and refinement. Either way, best of luck with this and thanks.

Not every connection is what it seems.
Step into the shoes of a devoted father. Your days are brightened by Maya, a kind and thoughtful young woman who becomes an essential part of your family. Her presence brings comfort and joy to you and his daughter, Lily. Yet, small moments hint at layers unseen, urging you to look deeper.
Shape your journey. In this immersive, interactive story, your choices define the bonds you build and the truths you uncover. Will you trust what feels real, or explore what lies beneath?
If that overview doesn't read like a story in which MC gets cheated on, I genuinely don't know what does?

"Her presence brings comfort and joy to you and his daughter, Lily."..."Will you trust what feels real, or explore what lies beneath?"
So the feelings aren't real, at least from one side. nice!
