Ren'Py - Completed - Betrayed [v1.01 Full] [Joraell]

Really nice game. The pack with devil and Angel could be more explored further with separate story lines. Music can be improved .Animations are Ok could have better but still 6/10.Also there should be an option to play as one of the NPs in the Game. Also New locations and optional storyline will enahance gameplay experience as as well add to story prologue.

This is a really polished game. The animations are among the very best I've seen. The models are very attractive, the GUI is easy to use and understand, and the story ranks right up there with current Super-teen TV series coming out of LA. The ONLY criticism I have, and I admit I'm holding this to a much higher standard than most of the stuff out there - would be the English translations. The dialogue is technically correct and perfectly understandable, but it doesn't 'flow' like spoken English. This game deserves it, it's that good.

Just ordinary VN game, not actual sandbox we needed. No money or skill management or any option to pursue the goal, we player just following dev scenario to finish this game, booring game(maybe this one is not actual game).

It's.... weird. Visually I can't fault the game and when I see it has such a high rating after 100 odd reviews I think "yeah, I can absolutely understand that" but despite how good it looks, I find the game a bit confusing because the story is very light on details about not only what you're meant to do but in terms of laying out what the overarching plot will be.

To refer back to the synopsis

Walk in the shoes of an unnamed protagonist who dies in accident and signs a pact with the devil to become a powerful spirit, who can possess various npcs and slowly grows stronger.

As a plotline go that's fine but when playing it I'm kinda left wondering why I'm doing it. Yeah ok it's a porn game so it's hardly gonna be Oscar fodder but at the same time it'd be good to have some idea of what I'm expected to be doing. As mentioned you die and you don't want to die so you sign a deal with the devil or whatever and continue to exist as a spirit. Job done. So you can possess people and "slowly grow stronger". But.... why? You're still dead. It might end up that something happens where you become so powerful you become something else but the game never hints about anything like that (at least not in the early game.

This makes the Betrayed unique as you do not control only one character, but many more during your journey. Whole game is set into modern times asset of small city. Just think about it, you can became almost anybody to get any girl you want.

You can become almost anybody to get any girl you want. Except you can't. You start by possessing a hobo and then you're him until you progress the plot till you can possess someone else and then you're them until the plot suggests otherwise. The game may open up as you progress so you can jump between people but certainly early game it's very railroaded.

I feel I'm being harsh, as I said it's a beautiful game but I found the start of it to be rather slow and somewhat confusing. It also seems to suffer from the age old problem if being a sandbox game but really there's only one place to go and clicking anywhere else gets the "I don't have time for that now" message so again it feeds into the feeling you're being railroaded down the path you're expected to go down, so why have a sandbox at all?

I really want to like this game because it has great visuals and a semi-unique sounding story but pretty pictures can only keep you interested for so long.

The fact that there is no real way to connect with the characters is a huge flaw with any of these body switching games. You as the player aren't really needed as this story might as well be shown in a third person point of view. As soon as you might feel some kind of connection wi5h a particular LI your transfer into another body who fucks the same LI and you realize all the LI are just cock hungry sluts with zero qualms about hopping on any dick that presents itself so theres no reason to "care" about any character. So in reality this whole game is basically an NTR/Cuck simulator but you NTRing and Cucking yourself technically I guess...

Basically the whole thing just feels like an empty void with a pretty coat of paint slapped on it. I think if the dev decides to make a better storyline and stays away from NTR...ish content they would have a far better game on his hands as they are clearly talented in certain aspects.

This game is one of the nsfw best game.It have really interesting story have some game play mechanics .Choice matters but it was not that hard to unlock scenes.
Texture is same with some other high end game.
The only down side is sex scene are not that great compare to others top notch game.
You should try it.Girls are not the prettiest one in the world or cutest one.
But they look more realistic.

This game has some interesting mechanics for an Adult Visual Novel. While still fitting the format there are a few problem solving and puzzle elements that make it more engaging than others. Unfortunately, this can be a double-edged sword when the clues aren't quite clear enough. Hints do a lot to help here.

Graphically, DazStudio. Good Renders, the artist/developer clearly has some skills in the application. Lots of good content.

v0.90 (not that it matters)

Betrayed would have you believe it's an action packed, open world, choice-based, sexy ren'py game. It's barely any of that. I got maybe.. 20 minutes into the game before getting very bored of it. The open world is standard stuff in this genre, the girls leave plenty to be desired, and the riddle-like gameplay got old fast(the repetitive soundtrack doesn't help it). However, the animations aren't terrible. In fact it's the only redeeming factor here.
The worst thing about Betrayed isn't any of that. It's actually the fact that these characters speak like robots and have zero personality; or are so cliched that it loops right back around to robot. It should be a top priority to make your characters interesting and make your dialogue bearable in a game where all you have is dialogue and characters. I couldn't stand any character interaction. It's like aliens pretending to be humans. Plus the unnecessary side comments from the MC as if we aren't capable of understanding subtlety annoyed me to no end. The concept itself has promise, but the writing here absolutely destroys any and all enjoyability. It's not even the worst English I've seen! It's just so devoid of life and personality.

As of v0.90 BETA:
It's a shame really. This game has so much potential. The animations are great, the renders are great, but the story and choices are just awful man. I tried so fucking hard to like this game but sadly animations alone don't make a game great. It has the fundamentals to become a great game but it's not even close yet. I'll keep an eye on this if maybe in the future something changes but as of right now, I would only suggest this game if you want a quick fap.

So much potential. Nice 3dcg and great animations but the dialogue and choices are terrible. Way to many scenes of just looking at male characters and there's no auto for a game that's pretty much a VN that's a sin.

This game deserves 5 stars for the animations alone, they are the best I've seen on this site.
It took a while for me to warm up to the story and the body switching but in the end I really like it because of the unique experience it offers.
I really recommend using a walkthrough though, because otherwise it can take a while to get things rolling. I enjoyed playing through a second time and going pure devil.

I hope we will be able to offer any of those pills of our own choosing before some upcoming scenes!

Played 0.86 but not till the end so far

Mediocre at best and its gameplay is semi-ntr or ntr-light as you are always in another dudes bodie and all the girls get fucked from another dude (not only their perspective but mc also talks sometimes about it)

Con:
- Lack of choices (only here and there some options)
- Sandbox totally useless since the only things you can do are the things which get mentioned durin the day/quest - There is no real freeroam and therefore is useless so far
- Graphics are medicore and nothing to praise
- Animations are ok but transitions sometimes take to long
- No character depth so far. MC just does what he does within every dude and girls are all cock loving whore which jump at yo uate every possibility - Nothing to work for, just an endless wave of pussy/ass
- (own preference) Next to no creampies, only outside

Dont know how this game got 4,5 Stars. Pretty boring and nothing special. Will play it till the end of the version and than delete it for good.

Who knows, maybe theres something here. However the dev is too caught in his own head to realize that hes over-complicated things. I possesed the hobo.. searched the city until I literally lost interest.. even the cheats are pointless... sorry dude non starter for me.. Renders look cool.. Too bad I couldnt actually see them in game

I am a massive fan of demon/devil story & glad that this game lives up to the expectations for the most part but there is a need for improvement. Render quality is awesome and damn the devil is worth committing every fucking sin in this game and it's about time we start getting more steamy scenes with her. Especial pointers for a well thought out animations that which improves the overall experience quite a bit.

A few words about my experience in this game.
The game is very well done in my opinion.
The animations are not jerky.
Some characters are cute, but not all as I personally thought. (Everyone here will have their own opinion, for sure)
I gave the game 5 stars, BUT ... I won't wait for new updates, I won't say that I didn't like the game, but somehow I didn't really like the storyline of the part, I can't even really explain why. It somehow feels so in my soul.

It's better than okay. It has a... somewhat interesting story, although I'm not super into the protag swapping thing. Basically, you start as MC, and then you become a spirit who still is MC but has no body, and through the story you sometimes go from body to body. One of those bodies is a female (currently, maybe more in future), the rest are males, but it's not like a willy-nilly swapping like the description makes it sound. It's all story driven, which is probably the only reason it works at all for me.

The renders are great, the models are great, when there is animation it is usually good (could stand to see some faster-paced scenes), but not all scenes are animated (many are).

Idk, its weird. Like take incest as an example, MC never (in current game) does anything incestual. He DOES however control someone and have sex with one of their relatives. So there is definitely incest in the game, but did MC do it? If not, is it NTR? Not really, but... idk it's weird. I'm not super fond of it but it's not terrible either.

i'm already hesitating to this at first because at the end of the day there's no LI here (unless you considered the angel or demon as LI) because you keep using other people's body. the open world is also useless and just waste of time as they're only empty picture if that place is not the quest location.
the story is well kind ok since dev manage to connect the story in different body.

i might change the star depend on ending. tbh im curios on what kind of ending dev will give us and that's the reason i keep playing this game.

It is funny to watch all the players who hate sandbox games, reviewing and rating sandbox games. Ignore all the 1 and 2 star reviews. Many players aren't happy when their hands aren't being held throughout the entire game.

Some players only play the games on this site to fap. Since they cannot skip all the dialog and just play the sex scenes and are forced to play the actual game (due to the sandbox elements), they get angry and rage quit.

The game has awesome visuals, renders, and graphics. The story and writing are very well done to amazing. The game works very well despite some guessing on what to do next (or where to go next).

I guess the Visual Novel tag really needs to be removed so that so many players don't come to this sandbox game and expect a Visual Novel and then rate it 1 or 2 stars because it has a strong sandbox mechanic to it. That is my opinion anyway. It does sort of play like a Visual Novel but it does have a strong sandbox mechanic to it also. Until this is resolved, I believe that the game will continue to get very mixed reviews.

Overall, the game was very compelling and fun! I had a fun time playing this game! It is very well done and I can see that a lot of work was put into it! Great job dev!

Version 0.86 review (no spoilers):

If I have to click through another linear game that for whatever reason uses sandbox mechanics I swear I'm going to lose it... Can you please stop wasting players' time with useless maps that only have one option which progresses the story at any given time? This alone dampers the pacing and basically ruins any kind of potential this game may have.

On top of that, there are two soundtracks that keep alternating between one another when you go to town map and any interior. And they keep resetting each time. Why are they there? It's so annoying! Mute all music for your own sanity.

Now that I got that out of my system, time to talk about the real content. And its.... nothing to write home about. I mean, honestly, I've read some reviews here talking about some great story telling, but I just don't see it. Everything is so very convenient for the direction of the story it becomes kind of tiresome. The characters are so annoying sometimes, that I had to skip dialogue extensively.

I think the problem is, that the story still tries to be serious sometimes, when, in reality, it is all frivolous. You should just acknowledge that and go ham on sex and kinks.

The only saving grace can be the sex scenes, which are fine, depending on what you like. Even then they are downgraded by models that are way over-exaggerated.

So, to conclude, I basically wouldn't recommend this game for any single reason you might want to play a game like this.

I recently found this game and decided to give it a try despite the mixed reviews. I am very happy that I gave it a try and played through the entire game!

• The hint system is a bit lacking in the early part of the game
• The sandbox mechanics take a bit of getting used to but get better as the game progresses
• Too many choices are forced on the player. This is common with this type of game however.
• It is still unknown what the reputation system will lead to (siding with the Angel or Devil). This makes it difficult to make certain decisions. Perhaps this is intended, however a bit more information would be helpful and appreciated.
• The character models are beautiful and well done, however some of the female breasts in the game are weirdly shaped and look unnatural.

I feel that it is important to address the elephant in the room; so many recent bad reviews. Most of the complaints are about the sandbox, story, or MC.

Yes, the sandbox mechanics can leave you guessing what to do next on occasion but it never stopped me for longer than half a minute. Too many players are used to playing kinetic visual novels where you are guided by hand throughout the entire game. Too many players get frustrated too easily because they have to experiment and use their brains.

The story is unique and interesting. It is meant to be a fun lighthearted story. If you take it too seriously you won't have a good time. Have fun with it and overlook the parts of the game that aren't realistic. The story has one foot in reality and one foot in fantasy. It doesn't jettison all realism into space like some games I've played (looking at you WVM).

The MC is a horny young guy. He wants to fuck any female that moves. This is a common trope but it fits half of guys in my High School days. The MC isn't a douchbag (unless you choose to be in most cases) but he is horny. He is kind and friendly to most people in the game, although he does take advantage of people several times (most of the time you have a choice). He isn't a saint. Some of these decision are up to you.

The sex scenes are plentiful despite some being not so meaningful. The animations are some of the best I've seen on this site. The character models are beautiful and there are lots of hot females in the game. I really want to stick my dick in Megan, over and over again.

Overall, I had a blast playing this game! The game isn't perfect but the author does just about everything right (very rare).

As long as you don't hate sandbox games and can enjoy a fun and lighthearted story, I highly recommend giving this game a try!
