Maybe it's just because I'm old, but I have such a strong aversion to Mickey Mouse hair that this game isn't even worth a look. Bypassed many such games for just that reason, really. Everyone has their kink, or bias. That's mine. Unfortunate that it's so common in games.
I've gotta be honest, that is by far the dumbest reason i've ever read for avoiding a game. Skipping over a game because one of them has a haircut you don't like.

Also completely pointless to post it. I've never understood why people make posts saying they aren't going to play a game.

I totally understand when people posts criticisms after playing but literally no one gives a single fuck if someone isn't going to play something.

It's like using a hand fan in a wind tunnel. Adds nothing and helps no one.

Also, it's weird.

As a hand fan in wind tunnels fetishist I take that as a personal hit, you can expect a call of my lawyers.

I'm seeing nothing but praise, however if I'm being honest the final chapter felt very underwhelming. Very short and with only one choice in the entire thing. How things ended up with the charcaters/relationships felt kind of forced and unnecessary. There were also random unexplained things (in the abandoned village) introduced seemingly only to be mysteries and reasons to come back and check out sequels.

I did enjoy the game overall but I do feel disappointed by the final chapter. However I do want to echo what many others have said; congrats on finishing a great game.

probably could have used a proper epilogue, the end felt a bit rushed

Yeah , negative feedback over something you experienced is fine. And even stating among your friends and acquaintances that you don't wanna watch/play/read something. But going out of your way to click into a game's thread, on an update day, to express that you will not play it, and for especially superficial reasons, feels weird to me. But i guess to each their own

will there be a sequel? seems like a lot of story/world building had been left on the table. Or in view of what everyone thinks is a rushed ending are the devs just moving on?

The dev is already working on it's next project, "Darkness and Desire", it'll be a prequel to Between Two Worlds, with an estimated release somewhere in Q3 2026, he's aiming for a one-shot full game release. And if B2W surpasses 1 million dollars in net revenue on Steam, he'll develop a sequel.

This is true, thanks Vader <3

Note: "1 million dollars in net revenue" does NOT mean "If he becomes a millionaire...". This number reflects the ENTIRE amount earned from day one, and does NOT include Steam's cut, Uncle Sam's cut, etc. If I were to hit $1,000,000 net revenue on Steam, that would mean about $450,000 to me, spread out over YEARS. I want to make this clear because I don't want it to look like I'm trying to be greedy. I'm absolutely not getting rich from this lol. This is my full time job, not a lottery jackpot.

The ending is underwhelming. There is no scene or epilogue for evil path. For Good path, just wedding but not additional scene after that. It would be nice, if there were options for the solo at the end. Was hoping to have a harem scene in evil and good path at the end. Oh well, cant get everything we want. Congratz dev for finishing the game, albeit a bit rushed ending

The evil ending was done with complete intent. To me, evil will never be satisfied. Evil is never fulfilled. Evil is always going to need more to fill that perceived void in them. Evil, as a concept, leaves a person feeling empty.

That is precisely what I wanted as a result of being evil in BTW. It's not supposed to be a fulfilling and happy ending. The fact that those on the evil branch feel they way they feel tells me that I achieved exactly what I wanted to achieve.

As for the good/true ending, I actually agree with you (and some others). It's something I'd already discussed internally with my team, before even the first beta test went out. At an absolute minimum, I'm hoping to look at adding some additional content over the next couple months while I start transitioning work over to Darkness & Desire. As an example of those plans/ideas, for those on the full harem path, you still need to knock up Kaylee :p

Any additional epilogue work that I do will be ENTIRELY unrelated to the core story of BTW. It will be PURELY relationship themed. And, most importantly, it will be 100% free. No new DLC. No "Paid ending" content like certain other games have done. Like I said in the post above about revenue, I'm not trying to get rich doing this. So, people will be able to look forward to those things. They will be added to the existing game as a patch, when it's time.

Loved the good/true ending, but looking forward to any additional stuff you feel like adding. Already got this chapter the most important "DLC" to me though...

And loved that the joke was referenced in game. :ROFLMAO:
