Because it's needed for the story and you know how the anti-NTR-crowd is. They whine and cry a lot. Hell, there're some fragiles out there who even whine when in background a hot PNG girl, which is not part of the story, is kissing a dude. It's smart to make a disclaimer. Nobody can say they aren't warned.
That's pretty sweeping. I'm very anti-NTR - but not "If the MC's mother isn't a virgin it's NTR" kinda anti-NTR.
If a game has avoidable/optional NTR/sharing/swinging - and none of it is forced, I'll probably try it - if it sounds good otherwise.
If any of it is automatic or forced, I probably won't.
But when it comes to NTR / Cheating what I object to is actual infidelity where one partner is cheating and the other is unaware or powerless to stop it. And I object to it whether it is with a man or a woman. And I mean I object to it to the point where I think cheating, without the consent of your partner, should be a crime.
If a couple both willingly, and not under duress, agree to sharing/swinging - it's not my thing, I won't do it if it's optional, but I'm not super against it. Consenting adults and all that.
If a woman MC has rejected is with someone else - that's not NTR.
If a woman MC was never with (not a Li) is with someone else, that's not NTR.
If MC's mother or sister is with someone else, that's not NTR. (Nothing against MILFs but why is it always YOUR mother you're after?)
If a woman you're pursuing but haven't made a commitment to decides to be with someone else - it's not NTR but it sucks for its own reasons - what is the point of playing in this fantasy world, if you still don't get the girl?
I don't think that's overly whiney.
