You know you could fucking download from the other links and check the SHA-256 to see if the Zips are the same (share the SHA-256). Not that it matter cause we don't even unpack the files to redownload.Just FYI, mods have again edited the OP and inserted links that I did not approve of. I cannot guarantee the safety of those downloads. The only link that is 100% safe is DGFiles. Mega/Pixeldrain/GDrive are probably safe, as I originally uploaded to those, but those links could be changed without me knowing. Download from Datanodes and VikingFiles at your own risk.
Unfortunately, I can't remove the questionable links as I've now been threatened with a ban for ensuring that malware isn't being spread with my game.
There is literally a whole thread about the many games that have had malware put in them, using files provided by people who were NOT the dev. It's not the dev updating their threads with links in the OP for malware infected files. It's F95 staff. You know you could fucking download from the other links and check the SHA-256 to see if the Zips are the same (share the SHA-256). Also I doubt your files are save.
I can't sadly not confirm it so I should probably put a warning in the OP that we don't have control over that "extra" hoster. You know on the website WE manage...
Oh MAYBE you have noticed, I am the OP of that thread now, cause I handle most of the cases, the informing of the threads, users, etc. There is literally a whole thread about the many games that have had malware put in them, using files provided by people who were NOT the dev. I'm not saying that F95 staff are the ones injecting malware. I'm saying that unless the link is coming from the actual dev, there can be no certainty about the source.
Don't get mad at a dev who is just trying to ensure the players don't get malware. You should be CELEBRATING this. Active devs make your job EASIER, not harder.
tbh, maybe it should be a requirement for devs to do that (sharing the SHA)? It wouldn't be a big ask, particularly from those of us who are like me and actively work our own threads. The end goal for both of us is the same. Ensuring the players can enjoy the games without risk. My problem is the random edits, and removal of my admin approved links with known safe downloads. That ends up looking very suspicious.Oh MAYBE you have noticed, I am the OP of that thread now, cause I handle most of the cases, the informing of the threads, users, etc.
I also confirm they are infected, clean the games to post a non infected version etc. I am pretty aware.
But there can be certainty. Just post the SHA-256 of your files.. Come one its not that hard. Go to the zip of your game. (If 7zip installed right click -> 7zip -> CRC -> SHA-256). And post the SHA-256 output 7zip throws out.
You know thats whats being discussed in the Virus thread (That I have linked in my signature). But we can't expect every dev for every Paid version to share the SHA vefore the fact.
And you're NOT making our jobs easier. We know the files are fine cause you shared it. You CAN know our links are fine, cause you can check them against your own files. But with you REMOVING our links, you make us MORE work, as you break our Donor DDL and make it so we get reports.
a rule like that could be imposed sure, but wouldn't solve the problem at large, many devs don't care much about this community, outright hate it, or aren't even on here.tbh, maybe it should be a requirement for devs to do that (sharing the SHA)?
How dare you use logic!a rule like that could be imposed sure, but wouldn't solve the problem at large, many devs don't care much about this community, outright hate it, or aren't even on here.
Well for us can't really require that on a Piracy website tho lol. "Help us pirate your game please", doesn't really sound right. Some devs here do it from themselves though. Sadly not nearly as enough.tbh, maybe it should be a requirement for devs to do that (sharing the SHA)? I got a virus alert from a Mixdrop download last night that isn't in the links at all today. Weirdness.Just FYI, mods have again edited the OP and inserted links that I did not approve of. any files from mixdrop will be tag as virusI got a virus alert from a Mixdrop download last night that isn't in the links at all today. Weirdness.
Yeah, someone else said it as well. That's what started all of this. I immediately replaced all of the links on the OP with stuff I knew was safe, coming from sources I knew were safe.I got a virus alert from a Mixdrop download last night that isn't in the links at all today. Weirdness.
I'm re-getting it from DGfiles.Yeah, someone else said it as well. That's what started all of this. I immediately replaced all of the links on the OP with stuff I knew was safe, coming from sources I knew were safe.
Not always.any files from mixdrop will be tag as virus
I never use Mixdrop, not since the crap that happened last year. But even the best sites like Gofile, Pixeldrain and even Mega has had issues in the past. But if Mixdrop was the only link, well, I'd probably wait until it hits rpdl.bullshit
I use it sometimes as I try not to abuse the F95 DDL too much, and I personally never had a problem with it, but I get what you are saying... it's just an exaggeration to say every dl from there is shit.I never use Mixdrop, not since the crap that happened last year. Exactly. Even though I have an aversion to it, I wouldn't say all dls are bad from there. Just be extra careful. Hell, the dl I got this morning with the new update was from Vikingfile and ESET doesn't like it.I use it sometimes as I try not to abuse the F95 DDL too much, and I personally never had a problem with it, but I get what you are saying... it's just an exaggeration to say every dl from there is shit.
