I'm finding the story way too depressing for a porn game, I like slow burn games so I'm not looking for sex from the get go, but I'm also not looking for this kind of a heavy theme.

I only played up to the point where the mc visit his mother at the hospital and I couldn't continue anymore. The game started with a girl crying in a tub, then the mc drop college for money reasons, the doctor gave some shitty news and on top of that we see the mother like that.

I get that this is a much more of a realist setting than the mc fucking his whole family, but man, is just super sad for the 5-10 minutes that I played.

I wish the dev best of luck, but unfortunate this game is not for me as of now. Maybe I can try again in the future if someone say that the story gets a little more light hearted.

not everything is for everyone but this right here is why this game and story is such top tier, if it wasn't it wouldn't of effected people this way, if you can get emotional over a game that means the developer is doing it right. Not every great story needs rainbows and puppies. This game really gives me the feels of DriftyGames Leap of Faith.

Despite all the dramatic moments and even the rather tragic storyline of the character, who had a cameo in this game, LoF in general brings joyful and happy vibes. Most of the characters there had a bitter past, but they strive for the better, help each other in this and are determined to enjoy life and seek happiness.

Beyond Tomorrow is much darker, we see the entire MC family at the lowest point of their lives. With the exception of short funny or amusing scenes, the entire atmosphere of the game, thoughts, dialogues and memories of the characters are quite gloomy and depressing. And vague hints at events and secrets of the past leave the impression that even more drama lies ahead.

well def didnt mean its exactly like LoF i just meant the depressing parts of this game reminded me of LoF. This is a completly different game for sure and the theme much darker, however i do believe we are building to some joyful moments in the future.

Back on topic, I find it hilarious how vicious some naysayers still defend the dev's obvious mistakes when it's implied in the story that Olivia could be MC's half-sister. It would explain why a random guy they don't know paid for her college tuition and why Lily's husband suddenly acted like an insane idiot and beat her up that badly. I suspect the same thing that happened in Chasing Sunsets on the stepcest front could be happening here as well, cuz as much as I hope she survives, the mom's condition is in a very delicate state, and without a mom character, there's no incest or stepcest, but let's forget about this lil fact so we won't get into heated debates again.

It's understandable why, and it's why I said all this exaggerated amount of drama reminds me of Three Rules of Life. I forced myself to play the update till the end, but shit, I wish there was an option to Rock Bottom that stupid bitch, Olivia, like The Rock used to do in WWE, for what she said to her mom. For real now, this bitch claimed she was an adult while she acted like the most idiotic, spoiled damn brat ever, and only afterward she figured out how stupid she really was. We all made mistakes as teenagers, there's no doubt about that, but a person claiming to be a responsible adult should think at least thrice about the things that are about to come out of their mouth, since they're supposedly sooo responsible and mature.

I noticed how much ppl focus on her and not so many wonder how the MC made enough money to pay for her tuition and to cover his mom's hospital bill and his living expenses. It shouldn't come as a surprise if he got himself involved with some shady ppl or joined a gang to make a quick buck, which means there's gonna be a hell of a lot more drama on the menu in the next updates.

Lily talks about shame but doesn't give full disclosure of the past to the MC. According to her, Brian wanted her to get an abortion, lost his job, became an alcoholic and ended up almost beating her to death which put him in jail.

18 years later an unknown male pays Olivia's college tuition fees for a full year. We know that Olivia is definitely Lily's daughter but should we start questioning who the real father is? Could Lily have cheated or been raped? Or maybe Brian got out of jail, changed his name, somehow made money as an ex-convict and paid for her college or got somebody else to pay for it.

Adoption already exists as a theme in the story (Sarah) so it wouldn't be outlandish if MC and Olivia didn't share the same father. It's a lot of drama though and I feel like it's all being piled on her.

It feels likes to me Olivia is the more suitable mc cause the mc already setup in life. Mc mature enough, got already a loving gf and mc money problem solved already so not much for character build up. Olivia on the other hand got a lot of needs to build up she is immature, got problem with Sasha needs to resolve and possible that she is have different father so a lot of things could happen to her.

I still think she had an affair with the guy who paid for Olivia's tuition, got herself knocked up, and tried to hide it from her husband by pretending it's his. Can't explain why her, of all ppl, would be ok with having an abusive dickhead's children, and worse, allowing him to be present in their lives, if he really was that mentally unstable. We'll just have to wait and find out in the next updates, but I sincerely hope we won't be forced to forgive that piece of shit for what he's done.

Nah, it's almost impossible for ex-cons to make that much money legally. Even if he did change his name and pay for her tuition, it doesn't explain why he'd hurt his wife that badly, and nobody would lend their friends a lot of money if they knew said 'friends' struggled financially. If this isn't an option, you'd have to be completely insane to ask a loan shark for money.

There's no amount of excuses or bullshit on this planet the dev can use to justify something as fucked up as that, IMO. I understand being pissed at your woman and arguing with her over this whole "being jobless" thing, but it's a very big ass difference between slapping her once blaming her for his own stupidity and impotence and almost killing the mother of his children leaving them orphaned just cuz he acted like an incompetent idiot and not like an actual mature, responsible man and father would've done in his place.

I sincerely hope we'll get to choose how the MC reacts to him IF he'll ever pop up in their lives again, cuz scum like that never deserve a second chance.

There are also other things to consider. Dylan (MC) has a lot of tattoos and they are not cheap. Judging by how responsible he is, I doubt he would have used Lily's money to pay for them. We know that he has a job but we don't know what it is, though he must be making good money. Any savings Lily had must have gone to her cancer treatment, so Dylan is paying for their day-to-day expenses and probably giving allowance to Olivia too.

Now that there is hope for Lily, they are going to need more money to pay for it. Money that Dylan will have to earn and he is going to get entangled with either Brian himself, Brian's old friends or the guy who paid for Olivia's college.

The appearance of Cece in the game and her hugging Lily is most likely a foreshadowing of Lily's survival too. Because Cece herself is a survivor and a symbol of hope. And maybe Dylan's actions in the game will also have a role in that.

Making speculations is the only thing we can do with all the plot we have so far, which can only mean the game's good enough for ppl to care about its story, come up with their own theories about what's gonna happen in the next updates and keep being invested in the game. Good or bad, the dev's decisions will be praised or criticized by his fans and subscribers, and it's up to him if he wants to listen to them or not. Can't do anything about that.

I have my fair share of complaints about the game, but I can't deny the fact that the dev did a damn good job with this story. As long as choices really matter in having an influence on how the story unfolds and nothing, scenes, characters, or certain events, will be forced onto the player without them having the option to avoid it, things should be ok with almost everybody.

I'm already looking forward to playing the next chapter and seeing what'll happen next !!

Nice, her cameo was a very welcome surprise, her story hit me the most out of any AVN i have played, and given her history, she would be the perfect help for the dark thoughts i'm sure they all have
