Magical whammies aren't rape. We already have rape in this anime and it happens often. You could see those magical ways to get girls to love you as akin to a new haircut or getting fit would make you more attractive except it's super efficient because it's magic. There really isn't perfect equivalence to real life.
Also, don't really care about a moral hierarchy based on of who is the most of a victim. Lots of characters start out good/gray and turn evil while others do horrible shit and then turn to 'good' in this anime. Minase certainly isn't a perfect good guy but he kind of fell into it not really knowing it was real at first, gets abused too, and does join the forces of good at the end.
I'm more interested in having the male protagonist be proactive. That's all.
