No idea. Worse still the dev is still active on this site and radio silent.

I don't recall him ever monetizing the game it was a passion project; sadly passions tend to die over time.
He's still present on the site yes(as in logs in regularly) but I don't think he's still active as a game dev.
As for removing the game... why ? Leaving the game on the site lets newcomers check out old games. Even if this one wasn't finished it's more than worth playing for what is present.
