They are struggling to monetize the game which probably caused them to lose motivation. Also, generating the right image through Stable Diffusion is harder than you think.

BRUH, and here I thought using Perchance to make a portrait for a D&D character free of too-obvious Cthulhu Hands took an irritating number of tries / amount of time. Perchance will render 3 or 6 images, together from a single prompt, in about a minute.

Well the good news about the recent changes fucking up payment processing for adult content is, there's now more motivation than ever to create an accessible replacement. Keep your chin up dev, they're all on the same boat as you now so there's more chances you find a solution.

Whats up with the influx of devs that start an idea/IP and then get frustrated after 1-3 updates because "not enough support....". The Adult VN/game scene is not some crypto pump & dump or get rich quick scheme lol

It takes time and effort to cultivate a supporting fanbase, there are wayyyyyy too many scammy and milking devs in the scene now. People don't want to support that kind of stuff, so they are more guarded with their wallets.
I've lost count of the games that get abandoned within the 1st year OR go on for several years just blue-balling and milking supporters.
