I mostly agree, I prefer Eric in play, but alternatively I don't actually mind Max becoming pure evil. I guess my depths are different.As a person that truly despises the Eric character I unfortunately agree (Kate fans will not have you btw). Max without Eric is like Batman without Joker (loosely), as Glamour has proven when you take away Eric without replacing him with and equal antagonist Max becomes a very creepy character. That is my main concern with BB_AS, Eric will be gotten rid of on all paths eventually but what's next? It's very easy to switch from hero to villain if the correct foundation is not prepared or fade to black. That to me is the fatal flaw of all BB versions. Everyone is so caught up in the MvE conflict no one has since been able to produce something workable for either party should either win. Eric wins game over, Max wins game dies out. It's the ultimate brick wall of this story. I would at least give props to Glamour for trying to break the mold even if it's a lame duck to me, at least it's an attempt to get out of this unending cycle. Aleksey has his own plans, just hope he starts to divert from the original soon because to me it's a dead-end.

Different game. Yes, there are new scenes, previously existing content is far mor elaborated. The whole prank/punishment thing with Alice is on a whole different level than in the original. But no, it does not contain everything from the original.
Do NOT expect a series of sex scenes in this game, it's much more focused on the relationship buiding. But the scenes that are in the game have more variations and are more elaborated.
You might want to wait anyway, currently they are rebuilding it. Due to the changes the savegames won't be compatible.

Are you saying that we will have to start the game from scratch in the next update?? 160 days of reapeating events over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again in one of the griendiest, yet least rewarding, games I've ever played in my life are just gone?

I don't mind starting a new game, I feel it's substantially easier once you know what to do and the general sequence of things. I'm actually interested to see if there are any changes coming to the story or any new scenes.

The game is different from the start. First of all there are two paths left. First one - fake friendship for some time, second one - is war. There are no cheats in this game. It's hard to play this one, but it works. Less grind, more action, new characters, new ways of interacting in addition to the old ones. . So, ... you have to play from the scratch.
I haven't looked at his code, but being a modder myself and having worked on my own game, I suspect a lot of it has to do with how much thought he put into setting up his code to allow tweaks to game mechanics without having to go back and modify a ton of different events.
As an example, lets say your progression is based on relationshp and every event has some kind of relationship check in it to determine progression. 6 months later you decide you want to change things and add corruption as an additional determining factor. Now you have to go back and literally change every single event in the game. That would be a nightmare. If you had instead made some kind of generic function you could call for any girl that determines progression with her for a scene, then any time you wanted to tweak the mechanics for it you only have 1 function to update. Easy Peasy. Update that one function to add corruption and you're done.
A lot of devs don't think about things like that before it's too late though.
